I went there recently and they were extremely understaffed. They were running on a skeleton crew. There were a lot of cars in line for the drive through, so I decided to walk inside and place my order. There was only one person in front of me and it took awhile to have a cashier take my order. Then I probably had to wait an additional 15 minutes just to get my food. If it took them that long to get my order when there were two people ordering, I would hate to think how they would handle a large crowd of people. As I was getting ready to leave, a large crowd did appear. All I could think was that these people were going to be there for a very long time getting their food. Aside from the extremely long wait, the food was ill-prepared. I ordered several tacos and the shells were only half filled. Whenever I would order tacos from them, there was more meat and the lettuce and cheese was coming out of the shells because they were over filled. All in all, it was a disappointing experience. If more fast food restaurants continue to serve food in such a haphazard manner, less people will stop giving them...
   Read moreI had to pick up an order from this location and the hours showed they closed at 12, I arrived at 11:40pm. Their drive thru menu light was off, no one was in the kitchen or with a mic. Mind that there was someoneâs belongings and bike in front of the door inside the building. As I waited in the parking lot, 4 cars drove through the drive thru honking but no one to assist them. I called the lady who placed the order and she told me âit shows that their making the food, itâs in progress, can you please check the door?â But nothing. I double checked the time they closed which was midnight, I even called the locations number, but nothing. I called a different del taco and they told me âtell the customer to cancel and transfer the order and that there shouldâve been someone out there because that isnât right and they can get in trouble for that.â Then at exactly 12 the building lights magically turned off and still no one around. If youâre gonna close early at least be considerate to your costumers by putting a sign on the drive thru menu/window :). Wish I could...
   Read moreI gave three stars because the majority of my experiences at this Del Taco have been satisfactory. However, my most recent experience was anything but that.
I placed an order on Sat, Aug. 6 on the Del Taco mobile app, to be picked up around 8pm in the drive thru. When I arrived, there were two "Caution Wet Floor" signs blocking the drive thru. I parked and attempted to go inside. The doors were locked. I could see the staff actively working on orders for (I am assuming) the few cars that were in the drive thru, but even when I pulled on the door and knocked, I was ignored. Thankfully I was able to cancel my order on the app, and proceeded to spend my money elsewhere.
As the former owner of a franchise, I can empathize when things go wrong. However, closing your doors with no explanation to customers who have already paid for your product, is unacceptable. Maybe a little customer service training with the employees...
