Durango Taco Shop — Restaurant in Las Vegas

Horrible experience! Save your money and your stomach. Was so happy to see a taco shop opening right around the corner from my house. My boyfriend and I decided to try them for dinner, big mistake. I ordered the chili relleno plate he ordered the carne asada fries and we ordered chips and guacamole to share. This costed $27! NOT TACO SHOP PRICES. Got home still excited to give the food a try: the flavorless guacamole tasted as if it were sitting in a ziplock bag for two days. The cheese in the chili relleno was stiff and the little sauce they did put on it was also without flavor, and the rice was dry (how does that even happen?). My boyfriend says the meat on his fries was as tough as jerky and the fries were hard and extremely greasy, oh and somehow his cheese was also stiff. After a few bites we called to tell them how disappointed we were with the food and offered to bring the uneaten food back for a refund. After calling the owner she told me that he would not refund my money but that they could remake the food. A R E Y O U S E R I O U S ? ? ? I told her that I obviously did not want anything more from the restaurant and that I was very disappointed. I got on google to write of this experience and to my surprise only 1 week in and already several disappointed customers. Wish I would have checked here first. Oh, and now we both have upset stomachs glad we didn't finish the food. Wonder what will be there this...

I live not even a mile from this place. I used to eat there all the time but I quit for some reason. Not because of anything negative, just forgot it was there when I am hungry and want to eat hearty.

I deliver from this location quite a bit. When I come, the parking is scarce but you do get lucky quite a bit, and are able to find a spot without a long walk. The store is somewhat small, a typical mom and pops eatery with limited chairs and tables. One window serves the food with one cook (from what I see). The wait isn't very long. There are multiple sauces available, looking homemade and fresh. Never came in and it looked unclean or like some wild animals were just there.

The part that I like the most... And this comes from multiple deliveries... When I get their food and put it in the backseat of my car... It ells amazing! I can smell the different spices, the different meats, how they were prepared, the vegetables used and I can get an image of what someone ordered by just the aroma. (McDonald's and those fast food places... I don't know what I'm smelling. It just smells like McDonald's.)

Food is just okay for the price. Seemed to lack the "wow" factor. Good selection of meat choices. $9 for a carne asada burrito. Must compete with Roberto's about a mile away. Nothing to write home about. No in-store dining/rest room. Must take food to go. Fountain drinks are over $2 and 7-11 is a few steps away. 24 hour take out does have its conveniences. May have to try some other items to see if something else "wows" me. Service was slow, and might be because of their first day.

Okay, I have it another go today 3/28. I ordered ahead of time and when I got there there was a line. The manager started taking people at the next cash register with credit cards only. Knowing they charge a fee for feeding cards, I asked if he would charge the credit card fee since he was the one offering to ring me up and he said he'd take care of it. After leaving I looked at my receipt and sure enough the guy charged me the credit card fee. I would have waited another minute in the other line to avoid this fee as I did have cash also. ...
