Toni and I live by this place in the same shopping center and we always passed by this place wondering what the inside would look like. Granted, the outside wasn't much to look at with just Grand China and the signs in Chinese that I assume said the same thing.

Toni and I rolled up expecting nothing but somewhat surprised that the inside was shooting for a more clssic style Chinese restaurant than new age. Everything visually screamed no frills just traditional and for some, it would be charming. We definitely enjoyed it but some might find it a bit bland when looking for a new place to eat.

We ordered the peppered steak and I can't remember the name of Toni's dish with chicken but I remember it was part of their lunch special combo which looked delicious and thanks to Toni's generosity, confirmed that it was was some of the tastiest softest noodles on my list. I'm not sure if chicken skin is something normal for a Chinese dish but Toni didn't want to eat it but I tore it up as being Latino, pork skin being a part of our balanced breakfast.

The peppered beef was exquisite and the vegetables were fresh and not at all soggy with the right amount of crunch/firmness of well cooked greens and carrots. The sauce made the dish stand out coupled with the beef. Some might find it a bit too peppery but with a name like Peppered beep, it's best to be prepared for some spice.

All and all, Grand China is a locals go to for good authentic Chinese food at a fair price without the fast food feel of a panda shop or questionable quality. The staff could use some smiles to drive up the experience but the service never faultered when it came down to actual table service if that makes sense.

We gave the Grand China a 4 out of 5 stars. Hope to go back and try yet another dish in...

This is one of my favorite Chinese places in town. The people are very nice in here and every time I go, they never disappoint. My go to dish is the Coconut Chicken with extra chicken. This time we went we got the house chow mein, Szechuan pork and the coconut chicken. Starting off with the coconut chicken, it is very crispy on the outside and the chicken is very juicy. The coconut sauce they use has a nice light coconut taste that's not too overpowering and is just marvelous with the chicken itself. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is my go-to dish every time I come here. If I had to recommend one dish, I would say this one with extra chicken. Moving on to the house chow mein which is always a good noodle dish to go with. Packed with shrimp, pork, beef, it has lots of flavor. We always either go with this or the house fried rice which is equally as good. Moving on to the last dish we tried the Szechuan pork. It didn't have big pieces of pork, but it was very saucy, packed with spices and had that heat that you're looking for when you order it. This specific dish I would put over rice, which is probably what you're supposed to do because of the heavy sauce. By itself it's nothing too crazy but if you put it over the rice they give you with your other dish then it makes it that much better. I will definitely be back to get my coconut chicken sometime soon and if you are planning on going here I urge you to...

If I could just give a zero or negative I will…Disgusting food and charging you tip on their own…!! Shame on them….. The server lady (she said she’s a manager , thick face) ! Beware here of coming here and always check your receipt…. …it’s not about the money it’s an honesty and respet and credibility unfortunately she doesn’t have that…the server is very greedy not good in a restaurant… they want tip rather than customers….Remember you lost one customer you lost all… Will never ever come back there…..And on the receipt to sign there’s a tip again there, for you to put in…wow ! The owner should watch out the staff….their pork chop is like a regular fried one not crispy there vegetables sizzling we ordered taste gross .. It’s a waste of money and the food not worth for the price ..the food not that good yet the server is very rude and not trustworthy they want instant money rather than sustainable good job…Well good luck!!Very...

Not bad if you're craving Chinese. Service was speedy and friendly. Love that they have lunch specials on weekends! My daughter had the orange chicken lunch special and I had the mongolian beef. The specials include a vegetable egg roll, rice, and soup. I chose the hot and sour soup which was delicious. My daughter upgraded to wonton soup and didn't really care for it, she thought it didn't have any flavor. The portions are plentiful for lunch size and neither of us could finish it all. My daughter liked the orange chicken but the mongolian beef was a bit bland and lacked spice (heat). Over all, wasn't bad and will visit again if craving Chinese food.

soggy or or dry... there was no in between. General taos chicken was soggy gravy and sweet and sour shrimp ended up looking like the breading was dumped in water. Paper (foil) chicken was more like a chicken meatball because it was lacking in juices. Wonton soup and house fried rice had shrimp which was a nice surprise. If I come here again I'd see if I can get the sauces on the side to hopefully reduce the soggy breading issues. Ordered a family meal with general taos chicken, sweet sour shrimp and added an extra 2 orders of paper chicken because the wife loves the (the juicy ones.)
