Mad Matty’s is definitely a “go-to” if you live in The Lakes area. Time and again, the food far-exceeds our expectations. Our bartenders and servers have always been helpful and willing to assist in any recommendations when we’ve been too hungry or thirsty 😉 after work to want to think. The atmosphere has a nice balance of “calmly inviting” and just enough “oomph” to pick you back up after a long day. During games the events they plan are AWESOME. They have raffles (lots of them) for swag that you actually win 🏆 There’s a gaming perk that happens periodically throughout the day/night that gives you a minimum of $5 FreePlay, which you are already a part of once you put money in the machine.
They have a very large bar that allows just about everyone to sit in the most desirable area without feeling imposed upon— My personal go-to.
You can really appreciate the fact that they have a bright, window-side dining room that seems to give an open feeling to the bar when they’ve thrown events.

Read moreMy third visit there tonight and was very thrown off by attitude from Kristin the bartender. I was on my third beer and made a joke and all the sudden she is slamming my credit card on the counter telling me I was cut off, calling me names. When I tried to apologize and ask what I had done wrong she told me she had the power to kick me out and she was comping my beers. I told her that I wanted to pay for my beers and she said no I've got them get out or I'm calling the cops. I had my girlfriend on the phone the whole time who agrees I did nothing wrong. Another patron jumped in my face telling me to just get out. I asked for the manger several times trying to make things right and was disregarded. I was very excited about this place until tonight now I will never be returning. My opinion is that Kristin is a lousy bartender, inattentive, un kind and big headed. Left feeling very insulted and disappointed. Will NEVER recommended this...
Read moreStopped here with my girlfriend for a drink and to do some gambling as this is our first visit to Vegas.
We wandered around the slots before I spotted some video poker machines in the corner with what appeared to be free play credits on them, but no signs on or around the machines. I sat down and began to learn how to play, then after a few minutes I'm started by a loud "Hey!" yelled from across the bar, "Get offa those, they're our tournament machines!" I quickly apologized and said that I saw no signs saying that the machines weren't to be used, to which the guy shrugged and walked off into the kitchen.
Won't be back here, didn't feel welcomed. Only reason for two stars is the other guy behind the bar made one hell of a good...
