YU-OR-MI Pan Asian - Arts District — Restaurant in Las Vegas

I cannot say enough good things about Yu-Or-Mi, the team and the food! My (now) husband and got married in Vegas a few days ago and we had six family members in attendance. We wanted to do something special, but easy, for dinner with the group immediately following the ceremony. We’re big sushi people, so it felt very “us” to celebrate our union with sushi. I reached out to Yu-Or-Mi by email to ask if they could accommodate our group on a Sunday evening and would allow me to pre-order some starters and rolls in advance, just to make everything easier the evening of, and they were happy to make it happen. Johnny and Danielle were so easy to work with via email and by phone. We’re not big dessert people, but being slightly traditional, I wanted a “wedding cake” and because Yu-Or-Mi does not specialize in dessert they invited us to order from the bakery next door and they would even go pick it up for us. We actually ended up DoorDashing a cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory the evening before and they kept it in their fridge overnight and pulled it out and even served it when it was time. Everyone was so lovely, everything flowed seamlessly, and the food was phenomenal. I think we had almost every roll on the menu. The fish is fresh and the flavor combinations on point! Second to our wedding ceremony, our dinner at Yu-Or-Mi was the best part of our 5-day vacation in Vegas and I honestly cannot thank them enough for making our day that much...

The decor is minimalist contemporary Japan inspired in the open dining area. This makes for a very attractive and fun vibe. There's a sushi bar as well as tables to accommodate the guests. Our server was fantastic. She was helpful with suggestions for the menu and was checking on our table frequently with a smile.

Japanese Mule: Their signature cocktail was tasty and got our meal off to a great start. Rock Shrimp Tempura: A great appetizer as the tempura was the perfect crispy for the shrimp. Truffle Tako: This was amazing. This squid and truffle oil dish was an absolute hit for us. This will be a must order again on the next visit. Spicy Tuna Roll: An old school classic that is done well here. The tuna was fresh and the spiciness was enough for flavor and heat without being overwhelming. Safin Roll: This was the hit for the evening: Rock shrimp tempura (which we loved) + seared ribeye was such a delish and creative pairing. This roll is a must on your first visit here.

Yu-Or-Mi Sushi bar just cracked my top 5 list of non-ayce sushi joints. While exploring their menu, I saw that small plates section is extensive and they also have ramen. I'll be back to check that out sooner versus later as well as to explore their other signature...

Update 4/12: wow guys what happened?? This was TERRIBLE today! I left my old 5 star review from last year up for contrast. A lot changed in 12 months. The server was unfriendly and abrupt. The prices seemed a lot higher than last year also. We spent almost 300 dollars with tip and got very little food. The nigiri was good quality but the ramen was terrible. The broth had no flavor. We had to dump a bunch of soy sauce and lemon to try and rehab it. I’m so disappointed because this was our favorite place last time and we budgeted to make this last meal of our trip really special, and it was such a bust. It just goes to show. Nothing is consistent or reliable anymore. I feel so stupid to have wasted 300 dollars on this basic meal, bad service and no flavor.

INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!! Our server was amazing! So patient and kind. We came in with 4 little kids and they were so understanding. They brought some rice, avocado and seaweed for them to make their own sushi while they waited. The quality was AMAZING!!!! Absolutely fantastic!! And at the end I got confused about what we ordered and accidentally had them take off an order of tuna. When I realized I was wrong, they refused to charge us for it, even though I was the one in the wrong and tried to pay for it. I haven’t experienced service like this in a long time. YOU HAVE TO...
