This is the absolute filthiest motel we have ever seen. The only positive thing I have to say is the front desk lady was super nice. She offered us a different room, which appeared to be better, but there was black mold on the ceiling near the front door. I walked in and right back out. It has very dated decor which is fine, but it’s so dirty. Has a bad cigarette/dirty odor. Really can’t describe it. The walls and ceilings are in bad shape. The walls are not sound proof. The floor had debris all over. The beds did not look comfortable, but there was no way I was going to sit on it! The microwave and refrigerator was so disgusting. There was a dead bird and a lot of garbage on the grass just outside of the pool area. None of the restaurants were open. Wouldn’t dine there anyway! I know for a fact the balcony does not meet code. A small child could easily fit through and fall. There was bird poop all over the chairs outside. I could go on——The people were very sketchy. Including the two older men that were employees. They stared, approached us, followed us. It was a horrible feeling. I did not feel safe! I booked this hotel through 3rd party and we will not get our money back. I booked it for two nights and with tax & other charges my online statement it shows around $350 for two nights. Once it posts to my account I will be disputing this with my credit card company. We left! Could not stay here!!! Gross and I wouldn’t call this a safe area!!

Parking / Area: The parking is not secure. I got approached by a homeless person. The area isn't great as well. Renovations / Furniture: Very dated. It seems like there was some slight renovations at the time, but likely due to something in need of critical maintenance. The chair in the room was a chair you'd use at an event, instead of an actual piece of furniture. Shower: The shower had hardwater blocking a ton of the shower head, it wouldn't engage all the way either, with half the water going to the shower and half to the tub faucet. It was also leaking water out the back of the water faucet. Toilet: The toilet had no pressure and would take 3 or 4 flushes to actually do what one flush normally would. Deposit / Pay: They want to hold a deposit for the full amount of your stay and stays pending for a few weeks after you check out. They also charge you a bit for the room vault, which I did not use. Sliding Glass Door: My room had a balcony, but the sliding glass door would not close correctly. The lock was broken. It also didn't slide easily, taking a lot of effort to open and close. I can see someone with less strength, not being able to move it. Pool: It wasn't pool season, but my view to the pool was very ugly. It needs a lot of renovation as well. I was supposed to stay 4 nights, but checked out the next morning and went to another hotel at the same price with secure parking and none of the issues above.

Don't even know where to start, my family and I were in need of a last minute booking. The Shalimar hotel is the only available hotel we had with a nightly rate of $120.night. upon arriving staff seemed friendly and no problems checking in. Once we started walking down the hallways you can get a bad scent of urine and cigarette smoke. If that wasn't bad enough, once walking into the room and trying to make ourselves comfortable we came across blood stained sheets and if things couldn't turn for the worse my 4yr nephew came across a used syringe, fortunately he didnt touch it and we caught him in time..we immediately asked for a refund, the manager in duty didnt hesitate at all to return my money... bottom line this has been the worse hotel experience I have ever come across in Vegas. I will never return to this hotel. I would expect by paying 120 a night you would get something somewhat decent, not a run down hotel that cant even be cleaned thoroughly, Btw circus circus has the same nightly rate for anyone reading this.. don't put your family at risk here not worth the cheap night stay.....

We have stayed here several times & the front desk is always kind however this particular trip was exhausting. We got in & the floor was filthy- my child found a piece of lettuce on the floor & it was covered in wrappers. They sent someone to sweep but the room was probably the absolute worst room in the hotel by far & we stayed there for 3 grueling nights. Our sliding balcony was off of the stairs & 2 nights in a row i was awoken multiple times to someone KNOCKING on our glass balcony door- i obviously was terrified i had a child with me so i did not get up to look or answer & i couldn’t call downstairs cause our phone was broken. When i looked outside our balcony was littered with cigarette butts so clearly someone was out there. When i brought it up they didn’t offer to switch us or even comp us-

The electricity in the room was messed up- there were 2 switches & one controlled the ceiling fan BUT you can not turn the light off on it because the pull was broken. The OTHER switch controlled BOTh the main room light AND all the outlets… SO if you wanted to charge your phone at night or litterally any electricity at all, you are sleeping with...
