I found another nice spot that serves authentic Trinidadian food. Located in the Oakland Shopping Center, this large restaurant definitely has the feel of the West Indies with such a casual and relaxing vibe. After overlooking the menu, I greeted a friendly male employee and placed an order for a double with tamarind & cucumber chutney and trini style Chinese chicken with lo mein and fried rice. Watching the steady flow of people coming in automatically told me that the food here was good, such as: * Roti meals/various roti shells * Doubles/aloo pie/phoulorie/various bakes * Lunch specials/specialty items/vegetarian dishes There's also homemade sweets, juices, ice cream, split channa, Caribbean beverages, local & imported beers, and cocktails. Prices are reasonable, and they cater. My food was brought to me and I couldn't wait to partake. I started with the double which was very good. The bara had a nice texture and the flavors of both chutneys with the curried channa were delightful, but the most enjoyable dish for me was the Chinese chicken with lo mein and fried rice. The fusion of Chinese and Trinidad flavors absolutely blew my mind, and the chicken was tender and flavorful...wasn't too peppery. Before leaving, I got another double to take home along with some phoulourie. I am looking forward to coming back, especially during their lunch special hours.

Hands down best Trini food in South Florida! I've been a patron at Singh's for many years now and they never cease to amaze with their consistently flavorful menu. From Aloo Pie to Doubles to my favorite - Curry Goat Roti wrapped, there is never a poor choice in menu items here. I have brought family, friends and work colleagues here when in town and they all agree that this was the most memorable food experience in their stays here in Ft Lauderdale. This is a warm hearted, family run business that provides quick friendly service that is often lost in the restaurant business nowadays. The atmosphere is always lively with the best Soca music playing. Additionally, the new location at 4301 State Road 7 is exactly what this husband and wife team needed to better service the constant traffic they've successfully built over the years. Plenty of seating, good vibes, good food, and most importantly, good people, here at Singh's Roti Delight. Stop in and tell the wife, Mr Singletary sent you! Sher knows my orders by heart and you'll never be disappointed in choosing this restaurant. Enjoy!

Visiting from the Bay Area, where we don't have any real real roti shops, so I was craving some good trini food and Singhs Roti Delight did not disappoint. So much so, I visited them twice during the week I was there. First visit I had their doubles and some curry goat with paratha. Everything was fresh ya all, and the goat wasn't chewy or gamey, cook just about right. Doubles were also great, the Bara wasn't too too oily, and everything inside was fresh and hot. Washed it down with a cold red SOLO, and let me tell you, the belly was satisfied ya all, i was very happy with my trini food fix. If ever you are in the area, please stop in, the customer service was great, they was playing some nice soca too. I will be back.

What in the canned goods happened!!!! To start, I’m American. Black - American. I was not born or even visited Trinidad, but what I am is a foodie…and for me this place disappointed. This was my 2nd visit. 1st visit, I wasn’t impressed with the curry shrimp roti (buss out). It was more salty than flavorful. In comparison to Joy’s Roti which I absolutely love! Anyhow, a few weeks back during Carnival I was introduced to Bake and Shark and looove it! I got it from a vendor. It was absolutely delicious! They made it with all the toppings including Cole slaw and pineapples (I skipped the onions and Cole slaw). Fast forward I had a craving for more. Singh had it on the menu so I thought I would try. I thought maybe this order would be better. Nope. Major FAIL! The sandwich was very big but when I went to eat, it was missing all the wonderful toppings that I was craving. So I go back and ask if they have pineapple, they said, “yes”. So I waited 12 minutes for pineapple. Yes 12 whole minutes. 😡I wasn’t happy. I was told, “ they are cutting up the pineapple.” When they finally came out with the pineapple, it was obviously canned pineapple and microwaved. 😒 By this time, I was mad and hungry. Not only did they insult my intelligence, they flat out lied about why it took so long. I was so hungry I wanted to throw it back in their face and demand my money back. But I kept cool, threw the pineapples in the trash on my way out and got it my car. When I got home, threw the Bake and Shark aside and ate the Doubles. It was my 1st time so I have nothing to compare. It was flavorful but mushy. I absolutely won’t be returning to Singh. Even though the serving staff were friendly and polite. I recommend, Joys Roti Restaurant. They don’t bake and shark but everything on the menu...

I will never come back to Singh’s Roti again. The currents rolls is hard and stale, the doubles is not tasting good, and the roti is not tasting good, dry and not juicy how it supposed to be. The doubles needs to be more juicy. Not cooked good. I have tried Joyce roti and they are 💯 better the way roti and double’s supposed to taste I regret not going somewhere else. I’m coming all the way from Palm Bay to get my roti, doubles etc and think I wasted my money buying so much food. I grew up in Brooklyn and know how roti and double’s supposed to taste cause Brooklyn is the best. I should have listened to my ex when he said Singh’s roti don’t taste so good aa the other two restaurants. 🤦🏽 we spent over $70 in all and not enjoy at all! Know better next time. I just came up back from JA and spent so much then spent at Singh’s roti shop and wasted money. Could have gone somewhere else were worth spending for better food and more satisfied. I’m sure people that put 5 stars are friends or family related cause I don’t believe it’s outside people putting 5 stars or less they haven’t tasted the real doubles/roti/currents roll...
