Unfortunately there is nothing below 1 star. My family and I have been going to Chido’s for many years now and we always have a great experience from the food to the people serving the food. The food and frozen margaritas are my favorite, until today when we went for dinner and I understand the Covid -19 policy that restaurants can’t take more than 6 people per table but we went in and after having our temperature being check we told the host that we were 6 and a baby and we needed a high chair. After accommodating us on our table and bringing our drinks the server comes back and tell us that they can’t have is all together and they will need to separate our party to two different tables on a different area in the restaurant. We explained the server that we mentioned to the host that we were 7 (with a baby) and they were fine with this. Not only the server didn’t care but she call the manager (which he was at the entrance when we arrived) we finally end up moving to the different area and waited for someone to take our order. After 15 minutes waiting and no one showed up to take our order we decided to order our food at the entrance and take it home. At this point I was very disappointed and impressed on the poor service and very poor management!!!!! My wife and kids decided to go home while I ordered and waited for the food. While I was trying to place my order the person at the entrance mess up my order twice and when I told them that I will wait in the bar with my drink while she fix her mess ( the drink I already ordered while I was sitting the first time ) she can let me know. Waited 5 minutes and she never come to get me. At this point I figured if I don’t go to her and finalize my order and pay for it, they will never cook the food. When I went back I was about to pay and I noticed that she was charging me twice, yes once more, when I ask her (not even an apology from her) she deleted the extra order and finally after I repeated my order once more she finally got it correctly. 🙄 she or the manager at not giving time apology for the whole confusion. The food order was very small comparing with other times and my margarita was very light almost like a smoothie more than a frozen margarita. I just wasted $65.00!!!! for an extremely bad service, awful food and disgusting margarita!!! Very poor quality...
Read moreFirst time ordering at this place. My wife ordered a burrito bowl, and I ordered a a grilled chicken burrito. The online ordering was a little confusing as it did not really say what or what was not in the burrito. Based on the options provided to me I selected several things to include Mexican Rice, Red Chili Sauce, Ranchera Sauce, Grilled Onions, Jalapeno Peppers, while omitting Gauc, Sour Cream, and Beans.
When I arrived home after picking up my order I cut into the burrito and noticed that the only thing inside of it was grilled chicken. It had cheese on top and a green sauce (Ranchero sauce?) I called to inquire what happened and was told "You cancelled out everything that comes in the buritto" I was given over to the "Manager" and he repeated the same thing. I asked about the things that I did select and he informed me that "We don't make it like that, we aren't chipotle and only serve authentic mexican food" He then proceeded to ask me what I wanted to do, as he can provide a refund or remake it. I let him know that what I wanted was him to have a better attitude about the whole thing and understand the perspective of a brand new customer and that they should update their ordering system to not include things that are not options. He replied that he did not have time to sit on the phone and argue all day. I assured him that I too did not want to "argue" I didn't want a refund or to have it mad again, I wanted them to help improve this experience for the next customer by providing this feed back. He sarcastically thanked me for my input and stated he would be providing a refund. (Which again I never asked for) I didn't have a nasty attitude nor did I come at the young lady wrong, I simply wanted to understand why the options were presented and provide an opportunity to improve. I want all family and small owned businesses to thrive and be successful as I too run a small business, but customer service seems to be nonexistent these days.
I generally do not judge an entity by one individual, however when you have a manager like that I can't help but question leadership. We all have bad days, but leave your attitude at the door when you are in a service oriented business or role. Read moreIf I could leave NO STARS I would. I have came to this location numerous times & never had any issues UNTIL TODAY! The group I was with had ordered one of the margarita pitchers. We were absolutely disgusted to find HAIR in the pitcher & drink!! Mind you it wasn’t just a piece of hair it was a WHOLE CLUSTER OF HAIR!! We obviously brought it to our servers attention & the Manager Victor instead of being apologetic was very quick to blame us. He went as far as pulling up the security footage and blamed my friend who had just arrived not too long before the pitcher came out because she was on camera fixing her hair (all she did was re-clip her hair with her hair clip) and blamed her saying it was her hair that was in the drink. Keep in mind she never poured her own drink or even touched the pitcher!!! Which is all on camera as well but they didn’t care. When we continued to try to defend ourselves and tell them there no way it could’ve been her they refused to listen. We asked if they can show us/check the footage of the ice machine and the bartender making the pitcher but of course they refused too. How convenient for them… They continued to blame us for the incident and still proceeded to charge us! We are absolutely disgusted not only from the hair in our drink but from the treatment and unprofessionalism from the Manager Victor & the establishment. This whole fiasco could have been avoided with a simple apology and new pitcher. They didn’t even have to take it off the bill we would have been fine with an apology and them remaking the drink. We will no longer be returning to this establishment ever again and will be reporting this to the health inspection!!! The way management handled this situation resulted in them losing customers, receiving a terrible review as well as a report to the health inspection.
