Do not go here!! I have gone here several times out of convenience because itās nearby but I will never use them again. First, they are expensive, in general. I went today to get something notarized and photocopied. The man is very nice but the woman gave me an attitude and after I waited for the fax to go through, I noticed they charged me for faxing 8 pages even though I only needed 7 pages and the confirmation also said 7 pages. This isnāt that big of a deal but for $1.50 per page, I didnāt want to pay for something extra. When I pointed it out, rather than apologize- she seemed annoyed. She refunded the fax cost and charged me again for the price of 7 pages instead of 8. She gave me the refund receipt and the receipt for the new charge. However, she would not give me my original receipt that showed the charge for the notary which I still needed but she refused to give me my original receipt even though it had a charge for the notary. When I asked for it, she said no- she needed the copy for her own records because of the refund (which was her fault anyway). They are a place that does copies. So, I told her, āWell then make a copy.ā She got mad, did so begrudgingly, and then gave me the photocopy instead of the original receipt. The big point is she tried to overcharge and never apologized about it and then was rude. Awful place. Never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreāDO NOT USE UPS IN LAUREL, MD. UPS lost a very valuable package that was tracked the whole time until it arrived at the Laurel distribution center in MD. Somehow this huge, costly item is nowhere to be found. The guaranteed delivery was Friday the 24th, evening by 8pm. I am writing this on Monday afternoon the 27th. We have been on the phone with UPS all day and have driven to the location that states our package is available for pick up. Nevermind the guaranteed delivery--apparently they decided to skip it this time to make us pick up an item they don't have. We are leaving the country tomorrow morning; the package was to enable us to bring our family pet with us. We have no options to get a rushed new item, or even able to buy the specific item in a store. They completely screwed us over, and Amazon is going to open an investigation on them for "misplacing" our expensive item. Amazon has also issued us a refund because of UPS mishandling our package. I forever trusted and relied on UPS before this incident. I've even worked for the company seasonally and was thoroughly impressed with their business model. The UPS customer service and people in Laurel have been zero help in making the effort to find our item or holding whoever is responsible for handling the package. I now officially only trust FedEx to deliver things on time and when...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've visited many UPS Stores across the country due to frequent travel for work, and until now, I've never had a negative experience. I recently needed to drop off a package that had been sitting in my car for a few weeks, and I finally found a location near my hotel that was convenient. I forgot to tape the box, which has never been an issue in the pastāUPS staff have always been courteous and willing to assist.
However, this visit was a stark contrast. I'm not a local, and the employee who received my package was both rude and condescending. Without so much as a greeting, he immediately told me that I needed to have my box taped next time. It wasnāt a large packageāmedium-sized at mostāand the store was not busy at the time. He had just finished being dismissive to another customer, which made the interaction even more uncomfortable.
Basic customer service skills, such as greeting customers, offering assistance, and showing a willingness to help, were completely lacking. Making assumptions about peopleās situations and speaking down to them is unacceptable. I have no intention of returning to this locationāeven if I were...
