For $20 youd think the food would be a lot more fresh. When they first came to Layton, the wife and I were going there almost every single day because we loved it so much. The food was very juicy. Tender had a great value. Now that same food is always very dry. Clearly put under a heat lamp for hours. McDonald’s meat is better than theirs. Strictly because it’s generally more fresh and not like jerky. After their initial promotional. When quality control took a nose dive. We went there a few more times suffering through the terrible quality before giving up. Went there today for the first time in years hoping it would be better. Even went during the lunch, rush, win food is usually more fresh. yet again disappointed. I would say the highlight of the meal was the macaroni salad. I love their macaroni salad, but the meat is like dry leather. I really hope that corporate comes in and does some quality control there. It’s definitely ironic that this is one of those places that credit card transactions asked for a tip for their employees. Sorry but I can’t justify tipping somebody for $20 of food that is in this condition.
Edit. Since last trying this place years ago. Gave it another shot. Sure enough they made three big mistakes.
1st. Got the order wrong. Ordered the triple entre, with steak, grilled chicken, and fried chicken.... Only recieved steak and grilled chicken.
2nd. As expected, very old/dried out meat.
3rd. I got FOOD POISONING. Vommited for the first time in almost 10 years! Went to the doctor, yep diagnosed food poisoning. Aside from our normal at home food, this was the only eating out i had done in the last week. No where else it could be. Will be reporting to...
Read moreUnbelievably horrible, unprofessional behavior. It just gets worse and worse. I placed an order for a very large catered lunch with Mo Bettah's in Layton which was supposed to be delivered to a client of mine (I'm a sales rep). The delivery of the food was outsourced to Door Dash, who failed to make the delivery. I called Mo Bettah's, and the shift manager basically told me there was nothing they could do about the catering order which they had accepted and confirmed they would cater, and they were too busy to deliver my order. I had to go pick it up MYSELF, and it was very late. I was visibly upset, and the manager was very apologetic at that point, and gave me a gift card. However, the worst of it, and the most unprofessional thing I've EVER SEEN from a restaurant, a higher manager or owner of this Mo Bettah's later called MY CUSTOMER (the recipient of the lunch) and CHEWED THEM OUT for my apparently using profanity (a lie) and making the shift manager cry. Besides the he-said-she-said, in what universe is it ok to call a third party, a customer, and HARASS THEM!??? Why didn't they call me?? UNREAL. I've never had bad experiences with their other locations, not once. But this location is an absolute disaster!!
Edit: Their response below is just to save face on Google Reviews so you think they tried to make it right--I submitted a formal complaint at their corporate site a week ago and there has been no...
Read moreI have not had great luck at this location, ever. This last time we visited, the chicken was burnt (again), the Mac salad was over peppered, and they were out of POG Juice. While waiting for the poor, solo guy on the line to finish making the meals in our order, I was trying to determine if I wanted to grab a can of POG Juice or get a fountain drink, so I asked the lady that seemed to be the manager if she knew if they would be refilling the POG Juice that evening. She responded very snippy and told me that she would refill it IF she gets some time. So I went ahead and got a can. About halfway through our meal, she came out and filled the POG Juice dispenser about 1/5 of the way, and it was empty long before we finished our meal. I asked for tempura shrimp and, again, the poor guy on the line asked a gal behind him on the fryer to drop two shrimp for him. She kind of "mmmmhhuummm'd" him, but never did, so rather than make his job more difficult, I just forgot about the shrimp. We ended up leaving earlier than planned, because the restaurant was so cold inside that my girls were too uncomfortable to finish eating. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, no music or anything and far to cold to comfortably stay. The service was definitely less than stellar. The food was burnt, over seasoned, not prepared, and out due to employees being busy doing other things. Unfortunately, I...
