Lotus Up — Restaurant in Lead

There are better coffee places near here to go to! Pump house I would recommend in Deadwood. Last week - summer 2021 my husband and I walked from our hotel nearby to enjoy coffee here since we saw people sitting on the deck. Unfortunately, there was a sign that said only drive through. While we are understanding of that, since there were people outside sitting we called only to find out those were the owners friends. I found this to be extremely rude. I wanted to enjoy coffee on the deck as well, but I guess since I'm not friends with the owner I didn't get that privelage. I wish they would have at least sat inside or something. We went to Java joint instead nearby. So I can't truly rate the coffee just the rude experience. I am sure the coffee is good but I didn't want to support that kind of partiality for certain customers. It's just unkind. If you have more time I would also recommend the pump house in deadwood nearby!...

Well, very mixed feelings on this one... I had stopped by the other day and so I came back, cause thier chai is wonderful... Buuuuut this morning the lid was not secured correctly on my very hot chai and it popped off right as I took ot from the Barista... extremely hot liquid poured onto my thigh (i do have pictures but I will spare everyone) which now has a long red burn on it.. the barista never asked if I was alight and only brought 2 paper towels to offer for cleaning up the spill.... While I know it wasnt intentional.. it happens I worked as a barista for years.. the lack of concern when, as a someone who should know very well how hot steamed milk gets it was disheartening...and I dont think ill be coming back... Food was great, drinks are great! But getting a very blaze' reaction to molten milk spilled all over kinda curdles the...

i am new in town and was looking for a bite to eat on my way from the lead dog park on tuesday. i notice lotus up on my way and remembered the internet said they were dog friendly and stopped in. As i walked in, the lady behind the counter scouled "no dogs allowed and were closed", i was a bit taken back at her rude tone. i apologized, saying im new to town and i thought internet said lotus up was dog friendly. she replied, you can only have dogs on the patio and we're closed! im guessing maybe you walk around the building to access the patio? i didnt notice i was 2:15 and they closed at 2:00, so i was definately past closing time but on my way out, the open sign was still on and the door was open.
