I realized that I had failed to review this hotel after my overnight stay, so I think I will do it now, considering that the owner/management seems to still be in place, based upon the most recent reviews.
First off, Nancy rocks. She got me into a cheap one-bed overnight room at the last minute when I needed solid shelter after three days of rain on my cross-country bicycle tour.
Secondly, if you stop here, you can either use the accommodation to R and R privately in your room (as I did out of utter exhaustion), or you can socialize with like-minded people in the common area which they provide. Read moreNice, clean, quiet and warm rooms. The little things are not overlooked. We stay in Deadwood or Leed when passing through each year and will make this our first go to place here on out. Rate was reasonable. There was one other guest, yet breakfast bar this morning was fully stocked. Fresh milk and oj. It appears there was every type and brand of yogurt. The owner was very nice and plesant to talk with. Down to earth. If you smoke or vape or get high, please go outside. Don't ruin this gem of a hotel and destroy it for others. Our room slept 8 (3 adult, 5 children) with 2 queen beds and 2 twin (plus a fold-away) fridge & microwave in room. Great gaming room downstairs with free pool & Foosball table, piano, keyboard, and breakfast bar in the mornings. Patio seating on ground level & rear second floor deck for a couple drinks in the evening. Private parking (streets parking can be a nightmare!)
