It was my friends birthday and we decided to go out for a few drinks and appetizers for happy hour. When we get there no one is at the front desk to seat us and we waited for at least 4 minutes, at this point we just assumed we could sit wherever we wanted so we grabbed a booth and found a drink menu to look at. A server comes up to our table after a few minutes of checking out the menu and looks at us like we are crazy, we then explained that we didn’t know if we were supposed to choose our seats or not, she responds with “yeah, no you weren’t” and left to go get silver wear. We then order drinks and it took a little longer than it usually takes at the other locations. She takes our food order and our food came out at a decent time, but while we were eating some of the waitresses were standing around grouped up and kept staring and laughing at my friends and I. On a different note, the fried pickles were soggy and cold and I’ve had the fried pickles at the location near nasa road 1 and they tasted COMPLETELY different. So it finally comes time to pay our tickets and when I explained everything that I was paying for, she then rephrased everything I had explained with a smart comment and spoke to me like I was stupid. Then once we see the price of our tickets we realize we didn’t get the happy hour prices and when we asked her about it she said that we had to sit at a different side of the restaurant in order to receive the discount. But how were we supposed to know that when there was no one to greet us at the door? I’m extremely dissatisfied and I don’t plan on returning. Still tipped my waitress $18, figured since she was so hateful, maybe a good tip would help with her mood and fix...
Read moreAh, good ol' Chili's. I could count on one hand the amount of good meals I've had at this location, but I don't think I could point out even two times that I had great service. That seems to be something all locations severely lack, to the point that I've questioned whether they specifically seek out people with terrible customer service skills for their teams. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've been here over the years and received awful service. I live about 10 minutes away and this is sometimes (what seems like) the best option for a late night meal when most other places are closing. I always regret it and wish I'd just made something at home, or even gone hungry. You're likely to get left with an empty drink for 10 or more minutes, have your food come out cold or completely wrong, or have something under or overcooked. The drinks are also lacking. I have yet to find an alcoholic drink here that wasn't disappointing, except maybe the premium margarita...and that's something I could get at any Mexican restaurant as their standard margarita, and those places do it even better (and probably cheaper). About the only good thing about Chili's is the skillet queso, which I think has become more nostalgic than anything else for me. The chips they serve are so thin they break each time you dip them, but I could eat a whole plate of that super salty stuff on my own. That is the only reason I gave two stars. Oh, and the potato soup. Overall, if you're looking for a good place to eat, go to pretty much any other restaurant in the area. You're unlikely to find good food, drinks, or...
Read moreWell.... this is the first time I'm writing a review of a restaurant with the worst service. Arrived at the restaurant around 8pm. Not many people were there. The hostess got us to the table. The waitress came in shortly and took our order for the drinks and appetizers. She came back with water, and appetizers and took our food order. A few minutes later another person brought us sweet tea. About 15 minutes later our waitress noticed that we didn't get our beer and then brought it to the table. She didn't check on us after that. 47 minutes later, I approached the hostess, because the waitress was not around, and asked when we'd get our food. The Hostess said she'll check with the kitchen. 5 minutes later another lady (I assume she was either the kitchen staff or a manager) came to our table, she apologized, and informed us that the waiter had never rang our order. I asked her: So we were waiting for 50 minutes for nothing? She said: yes, I'm sorry.
We decided not to wait any longer. The lady apologized and didn't charge us for the appetizer and the drinks.
I hope that what happened to us is not a common thing there.
It was just very frustrating that we spent an hour there and left without eating. At that point going somewhere else wasn't an...
