China King's Restaurant — Restaurant in Leesburg

Blew me away, but not in the way I wanted. Ordered based on the positive reviews. I don't know what went wrong, maybe I ordered the only things they don't do well or it was just toward the end of the night, but this was some of the worst Chinese takeout I've ever had.

The delivery was very fast, which was nice, however upon opening the food, the "noodle" dish was a gelatinous blob among the most unappetizing sights I have ever personally witnessed. The "noodles" as close as I could guess were separately packed and I mistook them for crackers.

Only one dish was edible and even that was worse than some freezer Chinese I've had. I was hungry and wanted to love this food. As it was I repeatedly found myself wishing I had just gone anywhere...

We have ordered from China King periodically for years. It's always been good, although not great in my opinion. But: I don't know what they have done, but in the last three deliveries, what we have ordered has been absolutely delicious. The flavors are fresher, more intense; even the egg drop soup, which in my opinion is bland by definition, has an added flavor that is absolutely wonderful. My wife's sesame chicken with broccoli and my basil chicken with added mushrooms both were delicious. The vegetable spring rolls were flavorful and fresh-tasting . Nice job, China King. Just ordered from here this evening and it was awful. I got an order of general tsos chicken, sweet and sour chicken and combination rice. The sauce for both chickens was way spicier than is typical(to the best of my knowledge both of those sauces are supposed to taste sweet). The sweet and sour chicken appeared to be frozen chicken that you'd buy in the grocery store that was baked or microwaved and then thrown in with pineapple and green pepper pieces. This caused the actual meat to be dry and the outer skin to be soggy. The rice was almost black it was so dark brown and had hardly any flavor at all. My whole order totaled $35!! For THREE...
