I’m a native New Yorker who grew up in Brooklyn with plenty of Italian and Jewish delis, I love a good sandwich. Today I was craving a Pastrami sandwich but my favorite sandwich place in Leesburg “The Deli” is currently closed. My friend recommended me Deli South is just as good or better. Well today I will put it to the test.

I had to use the the Door Dash service today cause I am currently working, checking out the menu hoping to see a hot pastrami sandwich but no. The closest option was a Rueben I should have I have gotten that and changed it up but that’s all in hindsight now. They did have make your own Cold sub option. I went with that, Pastrami, provolone with lettuce and tomatoes oil and vinegar, deli mustard on a mini baguette. On the special instructions I noted light oil and vinegar please. I also ordered bad of sour cream and chive Rt 11 chips. I had to put that in the special instructions, there was no option to choose flavor. There was no drink option nor a option for a dill pickle.

My order was tad bit late, No biggie. Finally my order arrived I immediately noticed they forgot the chips. Bummer. On to the sandwich…. No dill pickle spear, Double Bummer. Okay the sandwich is definitely what I ordered but they didn’t follow the special instructions… the bread was soaked with oil and vinegar, plus the mustard the bread is just a mushy mess. I wish the baguette was toasted or something. The Pastrami on is own is pretty good, It’s definitely Boar’s Head. Cheese is good, nice sharp provolone bite. If I had the bag of chips I could have salvaged the sandwich with some crunch.

Sadly I was overall disappointed and still hungry. I ordered a cheeseburger from “Melt” I would give South Deli another go, this time I should go there in person. You know first impressions are everything. I am...

I've gone here three times and every time the food tasted fantastic! The first time I came I ordered a plain sandwich with turkey, cheese, and mayo on it and it tasted significantly better than the sandwiches I'd get at Jersey Mikes. My mom also liked her bbq pork sandwich that she ordered here as well. The second time I came here I ordered a cheesesteak and a Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel for my mom. I can tell this place is genuine since they knew exactly what I was talking about. My cheesesteak tasted fantastic and I had a bite of the Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich my mom got and it tasted fantastic as well! Lastly, we ordered food for our entire family here and it was super good as well! I got a plain cheesesteak rather than one with peppers, mushrooms, and whatever other tasty stuff they put in it and I still loved it! There's a place in Williamsburg called Rick's Cheesesteaks and the cheesesteak I had here reminded me of that place. I highly recommend coming here if you're looking for a good sandwich, although next time I'm going to have to try the pancakes. I saw a few waitresses bringing them out to customers and they looked extremely tasty! I'm so happy that there's a good sandwich shop here in Leesburg, and I'll continue...

I had an appointment in this area and I arrived too early, so I decided to stop at the Deli South. A restaurant deserving some exposure in its own right. It's located off of Catoctin SE acid from the local Post Office. You wouldn't think this restaurant exists here because the property is underdeveloped. It doesn't draw attention to the others businesses because in the morning, ask you see are parked trucks, so at first glance you're going to think this is an industrial parking lot. But at the entrance to this property you have the Deli South a really good eatery with food well-made and with friendly staff. I stopped in to get breakfast, but saw they had pastrami sandwich on the menu, so I ordered it. A good pastrami sandwich is hard to come by in this area, so I had to see if it was worth it. And it was! Well prepared and heated to the right temperature. I decided to eat in because it wasn't crowded and the setting inside was not too bad. It definitely feels spacious and well-maintained, so I wanted to get the full experience. I will tell you, this eatery when discovered week being in repeat customers or if you happen to do business on this property, stop in and grab a bite....

We took a last minute trip to Leesburg for a vet appointment for our dog and this popped up as a nearby restaurant. The reviews were all we need to see and we were not disappointed. The young man took our order and was very pleasant, the food came Out quickly and was very delicious. I made my own turkey melt and my husband ordered a roast beef sandwich (already on the menu). We were in a rush otherwise I would’ve had their pancakes which looked delicious. I definitely plan to go back!

I stopped by for a quick breakfast, after seeing that they had corned beef hash on their menu and was pleasantly surprised. The hash wasn’t too greasy and it was cooked perfectly. The eggs were nicely seasoned and textured and the potatoes were great as well! Pricing was reasonable… maybe a dollar or two higher than I’d like but fair for the portions. If you’re looking for corned beef hash, which is pretty hard to find around NOVA apparently, this is my favorite spot in Leesburg.
