We’ve been living in Haymarket for over a decade and just discover this farmer’s market. It’s amazing and open year round! It’s become our almost every Saturday AM routine. We’d been driving to other, smaller farmers markets in NoVa but struggled to find one that was consistently open. Sometimes, a website confirmed a particular market was open and we’d drive 40+ minutes to get there, only to find it wasn’t anything but an empty parking lot. It’s fantastic to know there are vendors there year round and that they can meet our basic needs (eggs, meats, produce) and that there will also be vendors who sell other great food options (kimchi/pickled goods, seasonings, baked goods, dog treats). Lots of grass fed meat choices which we were most interested in though we did buy some alpaca socks (they run big) from Double 8 Alpaca Ranch, a couple dozen brown eggs and the most delish heavy cream from Deliteful Dairy and our friend picked up some produce and pears. This was our first time and we will definitely be back. UPDATE 11/04/2023 Chilly morning but still lots of vendors. We've been coming monthly from Fairfax for almost two years to pick up a months order of grass fed beef from Chris Hatch of Mill Road Farm and 5-6 dozen super fresh eggs from Green Acres Family Farmstead.
