WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE- I scheduled my first appointment at this specialty store one week in advance and specifically asked the sales girl, Paige, to make the appointment with the Owner, Nanette. I figured if she owned the shop she would be excellent at fitting and knowing the styles she had in the store that would be appropriate. I called the shop on my way there to let them know that I was only a few minutes away and Nanette answered the phone. As a brand new customer, I should have arrived 5-10 minutes early, but since traffic and parking was a problem, I wanted to let her know I would definitely be there. A different sales girl, Sara, greeted me and took my information and I said that my appointment was with Nanette and she said she would just āget me startedā. She took me to the dressing room and took my measurements and brought me a first bra to try on at which time I reiterated that I had made the appointment with Nanette and Sara said that Nanette would come in to check me. I asked Sara if she was new and if she was taking Paigeās place and she said yes, that she was just learning. How can she be learning if the expert [Nanette] is not even in the room training her? Sara left and brought me a second bra and Nanette still had not come to greet me or check on me. While Sara was helping me with that fitting someone came in the front door and Nanette proceeded to wait on her! While I was waiting for Sara to return with a third bra, I could hear Nanette working to help the other customer with a purchase. At this point, I was totally aggravated with being stuck with a trainee and Nanetteās lack of honoring an appointment with a new customer so I decided to leave. I spoke to Nanette on my out and told her I had specifically made the appointment with her and her response was āOh, I was just coming back to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately my experience was not good, only expensive. First, the lady who fitted me had a bit of a sarcastic attitude from the get-go. I went in there knowing what works and what doesn't but she did not want to listen to me and kept bringing bras opposite of what I needed. I know my body better than they do! Secondly, what bra fitting place doesn't take a measurement for a baseline size?? She said all bras fit differently, which I get but at least do a measurement for a starting point!! Hence, all the bras she provided cut off my circulation and she kept bringing me bras with frilly lace that I repeatedly said I did not want. Lastly, the customer cannot pick out their own bra; you have to let them pick from their storage room, which wastes so much time. In the end, I mistakenly purchased two bras. Everything feels fine when you just try it on for 5 minutes, however, the next day I wore one of them around the house (with tags on) and it left my skin with red indentions. Their return policy is just horrible and not customer oriented. They will not give you a monetary refund only a store credit. They will not budge. However I kept telling them that they didn't have the type of bra I required (straps continually fall off my shoulders so I require a "U"-shape back) so a store credit did me no good and I didn't want to buy something I didn't need. In the end, I went to a department store and purchased a bra size that was one size up from what they were trying to fit me in to. I had to buy bra hook extensions for their bras so as to not waste these expensive bras (and they are still too tight!!). Maybe this store is better suited for a very young person who is trying to determine the right...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience here was absolutely stellar! Not only did I learn I've been wearing the wrong size for the last umpteen years, but I learn how to properly wear the bra and put it on. Additionally ended up finding a deep love for French lingerie as well!
The staff takes time for you and will try numerous styles and sizes till you get the right fit. This is not the Victoria's Secret fitting, it's finding a bra that truly fits your body when you are standing, moving and sitting. Nannette takes time to get the right strap length, proper fit in the band and a cup size that fits you like a glove. She cared about any issues I had with back or neck pain as well and made adjustments to account for it.
None of this is cheap, but you are getting what you pay for. You are taking an hour+ of their time for the fitting where they listen to you and do everything they can take make you comfortable and happy. The items themselves can end up being a couple hundred dollars, but the fit is to perfection so that you hardly notice it is even on. During your session, you should be taking time to move around to ensure that it does in fact fit like that so that you don't walk out with an expensive bra that isn't...
