Considering for the last 6 years we have been going out of the country to some amazing location for an anniversary it was very important that we were able to enjoy atleast one evening properly. The restaurant did not disappoint us. You really had the feeling of fine dining. The place was packed though on a Friday evening considering the covid cases were on the rise but all social distancing guidelines were being followed by all guests. We had a customized menu for us mentioning our anniversary and names ( pretty cool). My wife had the "JALAPEÑO AND CILANTRO MARGARITA" and it was absolutely delicious. I had the "VIEUX CARRÉ" and it was quite good too. We had the chicken and shrimp spring roll for starters (4 out of 5) and the only issue with that was the sauce wasnt complimenting the spring roll at all. The spring roll by itself was quite crunchy (good for us) and stuffing was good too. For main course we had the "Smoked Chicken Rigatoni ~ Spinach, Smoked Bacon, Caramelized Onions, Peas, Romano Cream" which i would give 8/10. Maybe something spicy like jalapeños on the side or some spicy sauce would have complemented it perfectly. We also got the "Blackened Chicken BLT & C ~ Havarti, Avocado, Chipotle Ranch & Everything Ciabatta" minus the bacon (wife does not have it) and I would give that a 5/10. It was quite salty altogether. You wouldn't feel it in the first bite but then the gradual bites the saltiness would creep up. Fries were ok with it. For desert we had the "C h e e s e c a k e “ B e i g n e t s ”" and it was absolutely delicious. A must would be my recommendation. Staff was really friendly and attentive to our needs. Service was quick. Oh and I forgot we had our 2 year old as well with us and he also had a good time. They have a pretty decent kids menu. High chairs and booster seats are available.

So was pretty excited about going because the restaurant had good reviews. We were going for a extremely early dinner. I called ahead bc there was no reservation availability (normally a good sign). The gentleman that answered the phone was nice and helpful. When we arrived the hostess did say there was no table available outside due to reservations. The outside sitting was almost empty but didn't push it. We were ushered inside (also a pretty empty). The server was nice enough and went through the specials. I ordered a sangria it was a mess I really am not sure what was in that glass besides a lime and orange. My mother who was dining with me ordered a coke. It was pretty weak and the refill was worse. The server said that the bartender needed to change it out but didn't know when he would get to it 🙄. We ordered 2 appetizers the BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp were pretty tasty but the chicken wings definitely could have been cooked a little longer. I ordered the beef and scallops. I was a bit hesitant because it just said beef not filet. The server was insistent that it was a good cut of beef and that the meal would be magnificent. Let's just say I never received a steak knife and the meal was bland. The whipped potatoes needed salt, pepper and butter. The "beef" needed seasoning as well. The scallops were ok but most definitely on the smaller side and not evenly cooked. My mom ordered a cheese burger (medium-well). Let's just say we had a hard time finding the cheese and the burger was over cooked. Again I was so looking forward to the meal based on overall reviews. Well you win some and loose some. This was definitely a lost. We headed to a near by restaurant and had an amazing dessert.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Tuskies, but I can say the one constant has been the quality of the restaurant. It’s great sitting in the old Tuscarora Mill and the restaurant has a great combination of fine dining seating area and a less formal bar area. One of my favorite parts of this restaurant is the variety of options on the menu. They always have restaurant crafted sandwiches, a variety of meat, poultry, and seafood entrees. Great salad selection, and always an awesome appetizer list. Each night, they have their specials for the day, always some form of ribeye or prime rib. So what I’m saying, is that their are options for everyone here. So if you want a burger, get a burger, if you want something more fancy, go for it. If you look at our photos, we got the corn chowder, wedge salad, smoked chicken rigatoni, and the barn yard au jus. My wife agrees with the other reviews, the corn chowder is the best she’s ever had. As for her sandwich, the Barn Yard Au jus, was a great sandwich, with a great blend of flavors, it was smokier than anticipated, but still recommended. I had the smoked chicken rigatoni, which is an awesome combination of pasta, smoked chicken, peas, bacon, and creamy sauce. I’ve loved this dish in every variety they have posted it, and it was the perfect sized portion. For dessert, my wife got the caramel apple crisp. Typically when we get these at restaurants, they’re cookie cutter, from frozen, and just okay. This one was absolutely awesome, and hit the spot for us. I didn’t want any, but I was convinced to try a bite, and ate more than I had planned. Would highly recommend tuskies, a great spot for a date night or to go out with friends or family.

Came for New Years Brunch! Excellent just like the last time we came to Tuskie’s. Even had the same waiter who once again provided extremely attentive service. We sat down to a table with glasses of ice water freshly filled. The pepper and salt shakers were full. These two small details are representative of the level of coordination and attentiveness provided. As a prodigious coffee drinker, my cup was never empty. If I were a regular here, I might give my waiter a card for the New Years and greet him by name with a handshake as the couple at an adjacent table did. The food was also, for the most part, superior. Brunch consisted of a buffet for about $30 with a selection so vast I couldn’t hope to even try every option before becoming full. My favorites were the ciabatta bread French toast and mussels. Normally I’m not a fan of mussels, but these were plump, detached from their shells, and seasoned with fresh tomato and herbs with a sort of cocktail sauce on the side. The French toast was sweet to a level that only complimented the warm spices. Ciabatta is a unique bread to use, and it made for a great contrast between the pillows interior and slightly yielding crust. The lime tarts and cannoli were superb as well. Really, everything was great and everything is too much to describe so you really must come try for yourself. What everything does not entail is the prime roast beef. I am an avid meat eater, and this turned me vegan. Just kidding! But its chewiness was off putting abd an unfortunate departure from an otherwise stellar experience. Definitely check out Tuscarora Mill! It’s even worth taking a small trip (1+ hours).

Visited on a Sunday evening as an alternate way to spend Halloween and a Wednesday evening before Christmas. Had not eaten here in several years and wanted to refresh my memory, so I got a bar seat and nursed a Moscow Mule while making my way through wings followed by grain salad followed by duck with sweet potato spaetzle finished with apple cobbler with ice cream. I was not disappointed. Each dish salad excepted arrived thermally hot and inviting to eat. Wings were sauced well and led me to enjoy just the smell for a couple of minutes before eating. Mostly crispy skin and generous portion for wings (celery garnish could have been greener with a less runny blue cheese dip for me). Grain salad was heavier on the greens than I anticipated but enjoyed the well-dressed arugula nevertheless. Salad could have done with more grains (especially the farro) and one less ingredient, as the black beans seemed slightly out of place. Duck cooked to proper temperature along with mostly crispy skin. Currant sauce worked well as did the spaetzle and the rest of the garnish. Cobbler was just the right size for me with good proportion of fruit to pastry. Pastry could be a tad flakier so as to be easier to cut with a spoon. Moscow Mule seemed to get better as meal went along. Service was pleasantly unobtrusive and checked on salad when time seemed to drag for whatever reason. All in all a good stop when in Leesburg or elsewhere in northern Loudoun County.

We were looking for a nice restaurant to have a Friday lunch that offered a variety of foods, nice atmosphere, and a good wine selection. We ended up at Tuscarora Mills. I started lunch with a chilled cantaloupe soup with fresh blueberries and a strawberry balsamic glaze. It was delicious! Our waiter Ryan was fabulous and when asked between the fish tacos and the seafood salad, he said the seafood salad was outstanding. It did not disappoint. It had a lovely seared tuna, fresh crab, and grilled shrimp & avocado with a lemon thyme vinaigrette, it was amazing! The kind of taste that you crave and want to keep going back for! My beautiful mother-in-law enjoyed the special burger of the day a Lamb burger with a delightful aïoli and a nice salad. I had a glass of the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, and it was An excellent compliment to my seafood salad. The bread service was also delicious of variety of Fresh bread slices. This restaurant was a gem of a find! Highly recommended!
