Update 2025: We haven't been coming here much lately due to the declining experience over the past few years. Sadly, they got rid of the vegan Mac & cheese yet again, which is probably the nail in the coffin for us - that was the best option for our kids to eat. I can still appreciate what Aubergine stands for and the healthy ingredients they use, but it's hard to be a customer anymore. And the pricing is still way too high on their mediocre desserts and smoothies.
Update 2024: After an 8 month break, we finally came back, and as expected there were changes again. Mostly good changes though - we love the new bread on the Avocado Cashew Melt and they have some new desserts and smoothies which sound delicious and in a more healthful direction. We were pretty disappointed they got rid of the kids mac & cheese yet again, but at least the vegan Mac & cheese is still able to be purchased. All of the desserts are definitely overpriced for their size though
Update 2023 AGAIN: Good news, the Mac & cheese is back! Bad news, bad changes were made again. The menu changed yet again and they changed the ordering process as well. At our most recent visit we waited 30 minutes (with a hungry, upset toddler) before being informed our order receipt didn't print. Another 15 minutes later we finally got our food with things missing from our Rio bowl and nothing to make up for the wait. Still love the food, but each visit keeps getting worse lately
Update 2023: Aubergine changed their menu for like the 3rd time in the past year and this time we aren't the happiest with the changes. They completely got rid of the mac & cheese that my daughter absolutely loved, and I actually loved too - the best vegan Mac & cheese I've had. They also changed up our favorite bowl, The Rio, which is one of their signature/popular bowls - why would you change up the recipe on a popular item that's already well loved? The red cabbage absolutely doesn't fit with that bowl. I do appreciate that they were finally able to come up with a nutrition calculator, though I question how accurate it is. I hope there was real reasons for all the changes because we will probably find ourselves visiting less often now.
Update 2022: Aubergine has improved and is now our favorite again! We recently changed our diet to a plant based diet, so this is one of the only restaurants we can eat. We really appreciate their fresh, healthy ingredients. The sweet potato bites have been doing much much better and the service is awesome now as well. So glad to see positive change!
Update 2021: We still love the Aubergine for their healthy food options. Unfortunately, we've been a bit disappointed lately. Im not sure if there was a change in management, but the workers aren't near as friendly and the overall experience seems to be more chaotic. They updated their menu, which was probably needed, but it's much more confusing and they removed one of our favorite bowls - Trip Tip Feta. The past 2 or 3 times we've ordered the Sweet Potato Bites and they're either burnt or just plain not edible from sitting out for hours. Our steak also has had a similar situation and our banana monkey shakes have had too much cinnamon. Just a disappointment for how much potential this restaurant has.
We love Aubergine! Great option for healthier food and it leaves you feeling great afterwards. It does cost a pretty penny compared to fast food, but that's the price to pay for healthier food. Our favorite bowl is the Rio, cheese bread is to die for, and we highly recommend the Banana Monkey shake! Our very first experience was this location and they helped with recommendations and were...

I came here with a friend yesterday and it looks like the staff is kind of slacking. None of the food was ready on time, and my friends daughters pizza was completely forgotten about. We realized after a nearly 30 minute wait that we had to go ask them to make another one. They brought it out with no explanation as to why it was late; that is until I went up and asked them why. They told me that someone put the girls pizza accidentally in a to go order (we were eating inside,) and they apologized. Nothing else was offered until I asked about it, and then some ice cream was offered, but the wrong flavor was brought to the table. I don’t like mentioning this, because I really love it here, it there needs to be some supervision of these young people. I removed a star from my original review because of these problems. It was my friends first time here, and she was not impressed. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I follow a strict low carb/Keto diet, and anyone who does the same gets tired of lettuce wrapped burgers FAST. When I saw this option, I jumped on it ASAP. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was inside, and had simple clean decor as well. We ordered our meals and sat down, then I looked around and noticed the other people around us. Folks, it didn’t matter the age, these people looked like they had their sh*t together. No screaming children here, just happy well mannered people, which was a nice change from the burger joints I’m used to. Now on to the food. Ah-mazing. I got the wild fish platter with cauliflower rice, and the hubs got the Thai bowl. My Ahi was seared to perfection and perfectly seasoned. The cauliflower rice and salad was so delicious, and everything was presented beautifully. My husband was thrilled with his bowl, and he loved everything on his plate, too. What really struck me was I tend to salt my food, but there was so much flavor, I didn’t even miss it, which is rare for me. The portions were generous, and I was full enough that I only had a snack for dinner. They also offer several cold teas; two of them unsweetened, and the other two sweetened with agave. I tried both of the unsweetened teas, and really liked them both. The real star of the show though was the cheese bread. I can’t even describe how delicious it was. It felt like I was cheating by eating it, but my husband asked one of the workers there what it was made of, and was told Asiago cheese and coconut flour. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s now something that I want to try to make at home, and will probably never figure out how to do it. Be prepared to buy extra to take home; you’ll be sorry if you don’t. If you’re looking for a cheap meal you won’t find it here, but if you’re looking for a clean, nutritious and delicious meal, run, don’t walk. You...
Read moreI have eaten at Aubergine here and there since 2016. Their food has always been fresh and healthy.
I love their food because it is healthful, but very tasty. I usually get the Rio bowl with extra greens and half rice. I leave full and with leftovers for a snack later. Even my husband can eat the Rio bowl and leave satisfied, although he would prefer less rice and beans and more meat. You can do that, it just costs more. My kids will eat the cheese bread and a few bites of chicken, but not much else because it's too spiced for them.
What I like most about their restaurant is that they are mindful about what food lifestyles people follow. I don't eat soy, and this is one of the few places I can eat safely. It's also friendly for other diets.
What I don't like is that they undercook their rice and their broccoli/cauliflower--this is consistently an issue and gives me digestive issues every time. The way things are cooked and taste varies from location to location, but not in a good way. I've gotten chicken bites from the AF store and they were completely inedible and the potatoes were half-cooked. From the St George location I ordered a blueberry scone and not only was it disgusting and not as pictured (no frosting on it like in the photo!), it gave me instant indigestion. They try way too hard on some of these desserts to make them "healthy."
Their service both in-store and with pickup has been poor to mediocre over the years, but it has improved in 2024.
The price is fair for what you're getting -- Quality,...
