We went here when we found out that they opened at a new location (2 weeks ago). We ate at the previous location about 2 years ago, and enjoyed it. We ordered our food (3 meals and 2 kids meals). We sat at the table and ate our chips and salsa. About 10 minutes later, one of my kids meals came. About 5 minutes later, the other one came, as well as one of the meals (a Enchilada meal) and one of the 3 tacos I ordered for myself. I was confused as to why only 1 taco was delivered, and not the rest of my meal. And, why were they delivering all of our food at different times? My brother in law ordered after us, and he had all of his meal, but his daughter was still waiting for her 2 shrimp tacos. After waiting a while longer, and seeing someone that had ordered after us get their food, I had my husband ask a waitress why we were still waiting for the rest of my meal, and his meal. The waitress went back to check. In the meantime, I asked my husband to look at the time stamp on his Square receipt- we had ordered our food at 6:32 and it was now 7:05- 33 minutes and we were still waiting for 2 of our 5 meals. About 5 minutes later, they brought my husband his meal, and gave me 2 fish tacos- I had ordered one fish and one shrimp taco, and had still not received my beans and rice. So, after waiting 10 more minutes, for my nieces shrimp tacos, I got up to speak to a waitress about it. I told her that we were still waiting for 2 shrimp tacos and that they had given me a partially wrong order and no rice and beans. They came back a few minutes later with the 2 shrimp tacos for my niece, and my shrimp taco and rice and beans. So....after more than 50 minutes after ordering, I had all of my food. Now, the quality of food was meh...My fish and shrimp tacos were non flavored/seasoned pieces on top of a tortilla, with melted/burnt crispy cheese on top of the fish and 3 pieces of shrimp. Who puts cheese on a fish or shrimp taco? There was no flavoring at all. The fish taco had romaine lettuce on it, but there was nothing on the shrimp taco. (Picture attached) Needless to say, I will not be going back or...
Read moreUpdate as of 3/18/22 We have been here MANY times, but this last time was a bit disappointing. The guac wasn't seasoned much- needs more salt and more lime (but I guess I understand why they don't do that, cause people like theirs differently). I got three tacos and my husband got the carnitas chimichanga, and my carnitas taco and his chimichanga were REALLY dried out, to where parts needed to be spit out. My daughter's fries were almost over fried, seriously overcooked, almost like a cracker. Hopefully next time will be better.
Today was the second visit we have had and it was great, once again! We were blown away the first time. First visit I got carnitas, chicken and Al pastor tacos and my husband got the carne asada burrito. The burrito was awesome and my tacos were too, but the chicken was just chicken so I don't recommend that. Got a quesadilla for our son and it was great and filling. They give free chips!!!! Finally a place with free chips and a salsa bar! Salsa bar is okay. Today we got the carnitas chimichanga and the carne asada nachos. Carne asada nachos were AMAZING while the chimichanga was good, but not great. Too many beans, to where it overpowered the taste of the carnitas. But the carne asada meat here is delicious. So reasonably priced and great options! Our new fav Mexican place. Our old fav closed and they had the best chimichanga we have ever had, which is why else Mexicense's is alright and not great. But we will definitely come here...
Read moreSaratoga Springs Location-We had heard lots of good things about this place and finally tried it. The food was good, didn't blow my mind, but it was authentic and tasty. Probably the best horchata I've had and the pina/mango juice is heavenly. We struggled with service though. There is one register taking orders and it is slow, line was long the whole time we were there. They got my order wrong. I told her it was wrong, I didn't order a burrito I ordered the chimichanga plate and she said ok, went back to the kitchen and just started serving other guests. I sat there thinking maybe the food wasn't ready. I finally got up and took the burrito back to the register and told him that wasn't what I ordered. He found the ticket, asked the lady what she was doing and she basically didn't care, he apologized and got me the right order. The menu has a ton of inconsistencies, they were missing one of the combo plates, it went 6, 7, 9. The special was listed as the same price as the regular menu item, somebody pointed that out, so they changed it while we are in line, when we are done ordering the special was now what my husband just ordered and we didn't get it at the special price we paid full price. It all seemed very haphazard. The place was hot, like they didn't have the AC on, and the tables and floor was a mess. We probably won't be...
