Years ago, in Florida as I recall, I tried their chicken and found it very tasty.
I've tried it three times over the past three years or so here in Lenoir and found it wanting.
This week, our last time, we ordered the eight (8) piece 'bucket' replete with four biscuits via the drive through speaker. At the window, we were asked to pay for the chicken and wait. After a while wasting gas, the lady opened the widow thing and handed us the small yellow box and thanked us.
As I prepared to drive off, my wife reminded me to ask for honey.
I got the attention of the lady in spite of some noisy commotion afoot and asked if we might have some of the little honey packets.
It was then I found out what the commotion was about - they had forgotten to put our biscuits in the box with the chicken and remedied that as they added four packets of honey. to another little box (smaller still) to the forgotten biscuits.
"Good thing," I thought "that I'd forgotten the honey!"
We drove the few miles home and distributed the pieces - leaving the biscuits for a sausage gravy and biscuits breakfast the next day.
The pieces were pigeon-size - the breasts about the same size as the thighs - and required some close inspection to be sure she got all the white meat.
The crust was so hard it could crack a tooth - and there was quite a lot of it! I suspect there was more crust and bone than meat in that box. And what meat there was wasn't juicy - it was dry!
As we were kicking ourselves for not learning our lesson from the previous two eight piece boxes (the first was on sale for abut ten dollars as I recall - the next and this last cost and even sixteen dollars each.
I took the time to complete the survey absent any interest in the so called "free" sausage biscuit offered - provided you 1) completed the survey, 2) printed out the validation page, 3) brought the validation page and the original receipt back to the store, and 4) paid for a Sausage Biscuit.
I had no interest in the 'free biscuit.' I should have returned to the store for a refund. Instead, they kept our money and I shared my discontent frankly responding to their survey.
Tonight Google reminded me to leave feedback here "to help your neighbors."
Well there emptor, consider...
Read moreWent through the drive through this morning and was perplexed at the wait time of close to 15 minutes, until I got to the window. The girl working the drive thru obviously has no experience in working a not very busy drive thru nor does she have any customer service skills. My friend and I ordered quite simply 2 country ham biscuits, a large sweet tea, and a large coffee light and sweet. After paying we sat there waiting for both our food and drinks while she stood there texting. She hands our food out the window to use without even a thank you, or a have a nice day then turns her back to us and closes the window. We still haven't gotten our drinks and so after a few moments I tapped on the window and she opens it with a very rude, "What do you want?" I told her we were waiting for our drinks to.which she responded "I already gave them to you." We're sitting in the car without any drinks to be seen and I politely say, "no ma'am, we got our food but you never gave us our drinks." She then asked what we wanted to drink and I replied our previous drink order which she began to ring us up for a second time. I told her quite simply we had already paid for them because it's on our receipt to which she huffed and walked off bringing me back a black coffee and a small tea, I told her yet again we had ordered a large light and sweet coffee, and a large sweet tea. She quite rudely says, "There's cream and sugar in your bag I'm not cream and sugar in your coffee." Then fixes the right tea. I will not likely return to this Bojangles if that's the type of service I can...
Read moreWe don’t normally eat here but decided to tonight. Wow. It was the wrong night for sure. As we pull to the window we get a long list of what they are out of as well as what they will not be remaking for the evening. Employee states it’s the end of their shift. (9:15 pm) They close at 10:00. We both have worked in the restaurant and very understanding, we order a grilled chicken sandwich along with 12 tenders. Employee told us it will be a 10 minute wait for the grilled chicken, as we have our young children we decided not to wait and only ordered half the families food (12 tenders) decided to stop somewhere else for the rest. Get to the window, paid, asked us to pull up. ONE car behind us. We pulled up and sat for 30 minutes. Hungry, angry, children, we walked to the window to ask what is going on seeing how 5 cars have came and left. Employee asks to see our receipt, has no idea what we have ordered and let us know they haven’t started it, that they FORGOT. Irritated is not the word. We are finally home after going somewhere else completely. Eating at 10:30. Hope they actually refund like we were told. I would assume there isn’t management at all. One star is too much for this...
