Good evening my friends. I'm on the road again. This week I am in the great and glorious Berkshire County Massachusetts. I came across the Arizona Pizza Co on Pittsfield Lenox Rd. The exterior was well lit and inviting which is what caught my attention in the first place as that area is mostly dark and bland. So great job to them for making themselves noticeable. At first glance, the menu seemed basic, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, etc, but then my eye caught the Meat Lovers Baked Ziti. For those that follow me, you know I'm a carnivore so BAM!, decision made pretty quick on my part. It became quickly apparent that they were short staffed, but everyone I dealt with on the staff was friendly, and on it. If it wasn't for overheard conversations you wouldn't even know they were down a few people. So props to those battling through it. We all know how bad things can get when there's not enough help. I was a little discouraged at first with the pricing. For me, I don't usually turn to higher priced pasta dishes, but let me tell ya, when they placed this crock before me, I said WOW. Even for a chow hound like myself, there was enough for 2. By the time I was two bites in, I was hooked. If someone tried to share this with me, I would have put a fork through there hand. So good and well worth the price. Hopefully I get the chance to go back because they had a French Onion Burger on the list which is making me hunger just a bit...
Read moreI had placed a scheduled ahead order and arrived to the restaurant a half hour after the scheduled ready time. I waited for about 20 minutes for a pasta dish, when that was done, the waitress spilled it all over my food in the bag. She proceeded to WIPE IT OFF and hand it back to me. At this point I was beyond irritated so I didn’t say anything. While they were remaking the pasta, I closely inspected the desserts that were spilled on. It had leaked through the containers onto the food, and my ice cream was melted into soup at that point. I asked them to remake it and another staff member was appalled that the food was handed back to me, as was I, as a prior food service worker. I didn’t ask them to remake my quesadilla though, because I didn’t have the patience. There was another woman in there who was there when I got there and explained to me that she had been there for over an hour, waiting for salads. Both our foods were cold and the only thing they did was apologize and offer me a $20 gift card. After spending over $100 on food, this was NOT what I was expecting. It’s definitely gone downhill the past few years and I am extremely unhappy with the food and service I received. My pasta was undercooked because it was rushed and the pizza and quesadilla were cold. I will not be coming back here for awhile. (Picture of where the spilled pasta leaked into my...
Read moreTbh I have been coming for YEARS and it used to be my favorite place and somewhere I got takeout often during covid.
In short: prices have gone way up, and the quality and consistency of the food and service have plummeted.
Everytime I order the same things I get very different food each time, even if I ask directly when I am ordering what is going to be what. Nothing is worse than getting told one thing and handed another. Every time. Until they get more consistent and trustworthy again, I'm really not excited to go anymore. Not worth the price if I get the incorrect food, topings, and or my food is covered in chunky ash.
The prices have gone up alot, totally expected (inflation) They have switched out ruffles for regular lays (cheaper option but fine whatever) Garlic bread now often has ash all over the top when it comes out. Which is so not okay. They didn't tell anyone but switched out honey mustard for literally the heinz honey mustard which is not actual honey mustard it's just mustard. The portion sizes have gotten a...
