I am building a house and I walked in with a question about LED color tone and reputable manufacturers of LED lighting. Salesperson was incredibly rude and dismissive. When I asked him a direct question about LED lighting he literally said "I'm alone here and I don't have all day to teach you about LED lighting". He then pointed out a few lights and went to help the next person. I heard the next person (a man) ask about LED lighting, admitting that he knew nothing on the subject, and the salesperson helped him. I can't help but feel that I was treated in this condescending, rude way because I am a woman. Wouldn't be the first time, probably will not be the last, but it is still incredibly upsetting.
