First time at Bridgett's and it was a nice surprise! We went at lunch time and all the tables were either full of folks or dirty dishes (people having recently left). It's a busy little place! We were told to pick a table and we moved the previous guests leftovers to another table. It took a few minutes to get service, but they were busy. The restaurant is located in sort of a strip type area and there is parking, but it's tight at busy times. The restaurant is kinda laid back with a light and airy country feel. You can SMELL the bbq as soon as you get out of the car! Service: Our waitress was AMAZING!!!, helping us through the menu. She was knowledgeable about the menu and helped us figure out what we might like since it was our first time there - and took the time to do so even though they were exceptionally busy. If you want the smoked chicken (like I did after looking at their online menu - which is pretty much accurate - SCORE!!), you can only get this on Friday. The rest of the week it's pulled chicken. Food: I ordered the half rack of dry ribs with roasted potatoes and green beans. My friend ordered the hamburger steak with green beans and hush puppies. My ribs were a little on the spicy/hot side, dry like they advertised but had sweet, home style and spicy bbq sauces on the table. I really enjoyed the sweet bbq table sauce with the ribs, as it took some of the edge off of the (to me) spicy/hot ribs. The green beans were awesome. And the roasted potatoes were great... So much so that my friend said, "If the potatoes are this good, I wonder what their collard greens taste like?" I mentioned this to the waitress and she brought out a small sample cup of greens and OMG! I wish I had ordered the greens! They were divine! Seasoned to perfection! Can't say enough about them! The hamburger steak was ok - a little on the 'done' side and the hush puppies were delicious... No onion flavor and a little on the sweet side if you're into that. Overall, we had a great experience and will probably go back again. Prices are good for the amount of food provided and the service was stellar.

As someone with celiac disease, finding a place to eat out safely is incredibly rare but Bridgett’s Kitchen is truly a blessing. Eating out has always been stressful for me because of the risk of cross-contamination, but from the very first visit, I felt completely at ease. Bridget and her staff are not only kind and welcoming, but they’re also extremely knowledgeable about celiac disease and gluten-free needs. They understand the seriousness of it not just offering gluten-free options, but taking every step to make sure it’s safe. They have gluten-free bread, a surprisingly large variety of GF-free menu items, and most importantly, they prepare my food separately and carefully. They even enter my order first to make sure it’s made before any of the other food hits the grill. Bridget herself always comes out to say hi and check on my husband and I when we come to eat (at least once a week) it’s just another reminder of how much she cares about her customers. The food? Absolutely delicious. Whether you're gluten-free or not, everything I’ve had has been full of flavor and made with love. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, and the entire staff treats you like family. And while I can’t personally enjoy the peach cobbler, my husband swears it’s the best he’s ever had hands down. That’s saying something! As a celiac, I can confidently say I’ve never felt safer or more cared for at a restaurant. Bridgett’s Kitchen has taken the stress out of dining out for me and that’s something I’ll always be grateful for. If you have dietary restrictions or just want amazing BBQ, Chicken, Brisket, Turkey, or MEATLOAF with heart, this place is a must-visit!

Finally stopped to experience the talk of the town. Saturday lunch was a busy time and loved hearing the orders called out to the kitchen staff. The servers were super nice and attentive. Overall atmosphere was of visiting your friend’s home. We ordered smoked brisket plates with the smoked mac n’ cheese, baked beans, cole slaw, hushpuppies, and bread. The smoked mac n’ cheese is decadently delicious. It’s creamy and the smokey cheese flavor brings it over the top. The hush puppies were full of seasoning with the perfect outside crunch. Beans and slaw were good sides to round out the meal with different flavors and textures. The brisket was so tender and full of that slow smoked essence. They have 3 BBQ sauces on the table; we preferred the sweet. The sweet tea is really good. The amount of food for the price was quite reasonable, as we sat for lunch but now we will have the leftovers for our dinner tonight. Seeing the food other patrons ordered looked really good, so I do believe we’ll be back to try more of their menu.

Tonight I drove home crying because of the girl running the drive-thru this evening. Short curly hair and glasses. I am a regular at this restaurant and honestly I always loved it. But tonight, they charged me $48 and forgot three of my sides that I ordered for my children. I didn’t think anything of it at first, I simply drove back around and went back to the drive thru window and told her that I was missing two orders of Mac n cheese and an order of fries. She said she would be right back and left me sitting at the window for awhile. When she came back, she asked me if I was sure it was in the bag and that I didn’t take it out? Insinuating that I was trying to steal or get free food!!! I am a mom of three that works my butt off to provide for my family and I’m sitting here paying almost $50 for food that’s missing things all just to be accused of lying? I told her that she could have my bag of food back to prove that those sides weren’t in there. She actually took the bag of food back inside and didn’t come back to the window for an additional seemingly long amount of time. Which was very suspicious to me and my oldest son. I always thought so highly of this place but after the way I was treated over Mac n cheese and fries is appalling. She gave me the ugliest looks too!!! As if me asking for the missing items I PAID for was inconveniencing her. If Bridgett hires people like this to work there then I’ll no longer be a returning customer. I refuse to be treated I’m a lying, stealing, inconvenience. She went and got who I’m assuming was the manager and at this point my food is cold and I’m almost in tears. The manager asked me how she could help me today. Well for starters, maybe stop making an incredibly embarrassing big deal over our missing sides and just give us what we paid for? She would not tell me the name of the girl that accused me of lying so that I could mention her in this review. But she refunded me. Regardless, I doubt I’ll return. I’m sure it doesn’t make a difference to the owners one way or another. Don’t use the take out service or drive thru window. I would suggest eating inside so you don’t get accused of stealing food like I did. We ended up going to cookout because my son was scared that they did something to our food after they took our bag of food back inside and left us waiting at the drive thru window wondering what was going on. I no longer...
