This place is disgusting. Went there with my family from out of town on a busy Saturday night. It took us all of and hour and a half to get served (after waiting 45 minutes for a table)with not a single drink refill offered during this wait. We had a single bowl of stale chips and some mediocre thrown together salsa to occupy us during this time. All of our meals were were served cold and the beef from my fajitas was only gristle. All of the lettuce on our side-plates were wilted and brown. The tomatoes were an unripe yellowish color. The tortillas were stale and hard... and I kid you not, the guacamole was brown.
They shouldn't have even bothered giving us a server as the server did absolutely nothing for us save for the one round of refills we had to beg for. We asked for a manager who would not even show up. On the way out, we tried to share our feedback with the attendant at the front desk, whom only smirked at us and told us they are very busy and that there were customers waiting. We felt like he thought us to be some sort of hindrance to his evening by merely talking to him. No apology offered. No respect. Nothing. Afterwards, everyone felt kinda sick and one of us actually threw up.
I am embarrassed to have recommended this place as a possibility and I feel awful that my 85 year old veteran grandfather was put through such a mess.
I would strongly urge anyone considering eating here to choose one of the many better Mexican options in Lexington such as Maria's or El Gran Taco.
This place is the epitome of a terrible dining experience and they clearly do not...
Read morethis place is great, they have margaritas as well as great lunch deals. you can order one taco which is great as the menu lists they come in three, but you can order one and then get something else for the same price as if you ordered three tacos while getting a nice variety. i got a queso quesidilla which came with an entire plate of mixed fried rice and refried beans with cheese, and a big quesidilla with a side of lettuce and sour cream and tomato for 4.99. it was very good and filled me up and i would and shall get it again. theyve got burritos, tacos, enchilladas, and more. You can get chicken, steak, ground beef, or shrimp on almost anything including salads! its a block from campus, nice lighting, music, and atmosphere. the people are very nice and constantly refill waters and drinks and the FREE CHIPS AND SALSA that you get as soon as you sit down. its a nice bite, and i hope they stay in business for a long time. when its nice outside you can sit outside on their patio, lots of seating and white lights caress the would be ceiling on the terrace where you eat, its closed in from the street so its not distracting or loud, but you still feel like your in the city, but also that you are a part of the restaurant. overall its a nice relaxing and authentic place for a date or to relax with family after a day of moving in or moving out, or to catch up with friends before you go on...
Read moreCinco De Mayo truly screwed us over and will NEVER receive our service again. A month prior to this date, we made a reservation for Friday May 5th (yes we know this is Cinco De Mayo) we also understand many places won't take reservations, but they allowed us to and we were overjoyed. Not only were we going to celebrate "Cinco De Mayo" but have a surprise party for our friend turning 21. They booked us "so we thought" and all was perfect! We called today to confirm and arrange plans for the night, and they had fired the man who took our reservation and told us we no longer had one because he didn't work there. They were beyond rude, hung up, said horribly offensive things, and had the WORSE customer service ever. This place is run by ignorant, clearly poorly educated, awful people. The food has never been that "great" just mediocre, but because of the awful people who almost ruined our plans for our friend and 15 others attending the dinner, we will never step foot near the establishment again. DONT EVER TRY TO PLACE A RESERVATION HERE, and whoever is the "new" manager, you need to be educated on customer service. His exact words: "We don't need a reservation for 15 people, we have plenty of people who will be coming." Good luck with your new job, I'm sure it won't last long so...
