Decided to give this place a try. I truly enjoy a good taco. I decided to try one of the restaurants highlighted specialties and ordered the Barbacoa Queso tacos and was excited to see they had Horchata so added that as well. The restaurant itself has a pretty unique feel inside but I don't fully understand it. I really enjoy the colors and the murals but I am a little confused with the Diner style benches. The food came promptly. The portion size is a very good size and I struggled to finish. The double corn tortillas were crisped almost making them seem like a hard shell. The taco was good and heavily filled with Barbacoa. The queso was at the bottom of the tortilla and made that part of taco fall apart but added some flavor to a somewhat unseasoned Barbacoa. The salsa that came with it had a wonderful taste and greatly added to the Taco. It also came with a dipping broth and black beans. I dipped the tacos multiple times but it didn't seem to change the flavor experience. The Horchata was okay but seemed a little bitter. Overall food was good. I may try this place again and give it another shot switching to a different menu item. The overall cost with a minus tip was $17.29 for lunch which is also a bit rich so when tip added it is...

Went in late last night with my group of friends just trying to find a place to eat. It wasn’t bad when we first walked in but five minutes in they start to blast music so loud you couldn’t even hear yourself think let alone talk to your friends. They would keep opening the door when it was 38 degrees out and windy so it would get really cold. My friend asked them to turn it down and they did but then turned it up immediately. They immediately brought us waters when no one asked for water, my friend had to get his attention to get any other type of drink and walked away before anyone else could order any different drink. When we finally got to order he couldn’t even hear us to take our order we had to point at what we wanted. We finally get our food it was so tiny and wasn’t even that good and for it be that price for that little food. Their dj also sucked so bad, would just randomly spin his board off beat and it just sounded like someone was coughing. Would not...

Service is awful, food was good.

We were seated during a non peak time and started off with a bartender serving us (took drink and app order) went 15-20 minutes un touched and after 10 pass by’s a server took out food order, once the food was dropped off no other checks at our table happened, mid meal our server and the bartender both clocked out and left?! Didn’t introduce us to anyone new and once 30 min went by we went to the new bartender and said “uhm our server left can you help us?” They replied “no they didn’t they would be fired if they did” and well enough they were gone. He brought us our check and boxes and asked if we were there during brunch (we were not). Apparently the same server who left during our meal also didn’t finish the table before us?! Doubt we will be back, unfortunate since the tacos were the best thing out of the...

We got El Cid delivery. Anytime you get delivery it's not going to be as good as in the restaurant. But with that said it was quite yummy! My husband got the queso burrito and said the flavor was really good but slightly too creamy. I got the fajita tacos and asked for it on flour shells (which they did) and they were good. Lastly we got the Guacamole. It I'd chunky and it was good. I wouldn't say this is by far the best Mexican ever but it definitely wasn't bad. We're in a hotel and asked for silverware and didn't get it. Lastly, the Guacamole was good but had WAY too much onion. We had a hole pile of onion left over because there was so much in it.

Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered was excellent EXCEPT for the Mexican fried rice which was cold , mushy and had no seasoning or spices except maybe some salt and paprika. That was the worst Mexican rice I've ever had in my life unfortunately. Their tacos and nachos were scrumptious and had authentic flavorings without the emphasis on cheese! Chips were quite greasy but the salsa was great. Had to take star off because the rice and the greasy chips. Overall experience was wonderful, thanks to the very gracious, helpful waitress!
