Honestly this place sucks. Not only is it always overcrowded, the red headed bastard that checks ID's, took my ID and proceeded to ask me questions. When I literally make an appearance at this bar every weekend. After I had answered correctly, he proceeded to take it and threatened to "call the cops on me," so I waited for fourty-five minutes for a police officer so he could identify it was me, and the cop never showed up because i don't think he ever called him. He was in my face telling me my name was "Katie." I said no sir that's not my name and he said, "when the cop gets here, you're name is katie, i hope you know it's a felony and you'll go straight to jail." I just turned 24 in August so I laughed.. He is by far the rudest bouncer i have ever encountered. What I find so awful, is that this bouncer takes the ID's and he sells them. My buddy knows this guy and is supposed to be getting my ID back but I'm not worried about $13 to get a new one. I know this because when i was underage I bought one from my friend who got it from this man. He should be fired and arrested. I'm really upset about this situation because not only did I wait for 45 minutes, we all had to leave the bars because he wouldn't give it back even after i told him i wouldn't come to this bar and he dismissed me and wouldn't even look at me as he proceeded to not check others ID's and stamp their hands. I Cannot return to work without my ID so now I'm having to take off two days before i can even get another one made. I find it amusing that they're so worried about ID's, when they should worry about the drunk college kids who are throwing bottles and dancing all over tables. I saw a girls vagina last weekend as she was bent over dancing. I could barely even walk through the bar anyway, i just usually go when my friends go. It's our last resort. Plus it's impossible to get a drink and when you do, most of it will be all over your hands and clothes dude to the amount of people pushing and shoving trying to get...
Read more(TL;DR at bottom) I didn't actually dine here, never even knew about this place until I had a random encounter with some of their employees. I was picking up an order from a restaurant that was across the street (Google Maps wasn't pin point accurate as to which store it actually was and where). Beyond pulling into the parking lot, where they had picnic tables set up and fenced off, to turn around there was little else in the way of a "safe" place to temporarily park to pick up this order (I was on S Limestone heading toward E Maxwell). Once I got out of my vehicle, two employees started calling out to me from the door telling me I couldn't park there, regardless for the reasons. Sure, I understand, it does give the impression it isn't being used for vehicles any longer during the pandemic. Nonetheless, I try to explain myself and ask if I might have a couple minutes to run across the street to get this order and be on my way. These employees literally told me to just pull out onto S Limestone, park on the side of the road and put on my hazards (In such a short and "polite" exchange of words)........because that's about as safe as just parking in the small lot for less than 5 minutes during a brisk, early afternoon with NOONE outside using the tables in the lot to be inconvenienced (Sarcasm). Thankfully, I did notice an empty meter parking spot on E Maxwell that I was able to use to de-escalate the situation. This being my introduction to the establishment, I don't care to find out what the customer experience is inside, there are plenty of other places to dine at in Lexington. TL;DR: Encountered a couple employees while trying to find/pick up an order across the street, get told (Rudely, condescendingly) to park in the middle of traffic on S Limestone with hazards instead of using their lot. A fine introduction to this place, I'll take my chances and find somewhere else to...
Read moreI came here for New Years and bought a drink and the bartender gave my card back to someone else then told me I was too drunk to remember putting it away in my purse when I was completely sober. They refused responsibility and i had to stand around at the bar until luckily the man who they gave it to came back up and turned it in. I will never again buy a drink from here, that could have been absolutely horrible if I wasn’t sober and didn’t realize they literally gave my card away.
Outside of this, I can’t say I’ve ever enjoyed the bar anyways. It’s almost all sitting room with a very small dance floor. The sitting encourages talking, but there’s no way you can do that without screaming because they are consistently playing pretty bad music at what seems to be the highest volume every single speaker in the place can take. This is never a bar I willing to go to, and am incredibly reluctant to go even if ever single one of my friends are there.
I can say that outside of late night bar hours though, this place is very good as a restaurant. I do enjoy their food and have never heard anyone say anything...
