Used to love here; however, it’s slower than slow—- time and time again. PLEASE consider opening up both windows for service and having more than not one, as many times there is ONE—but having more than two workers to keep this service moving and the customer waiting too long. Too, the tip jar—the tip notification on the receipt—-it’s offensive. Why? The workers are paid to do this job; why are they wanting tips on something already expensive to buy? Why are they expecting tips on something they’re doing —-and what they’re suppose to do—-pushing out ice cones. Period. What are they doing to earn tips? I’ve worked many jobs where tips were justifiable and did hard work and got little to nothing because people are cheap, but my positions gave service. To allow this jar and receipt to be blatant and thrown in our faces—-uncalled for. We all know when workers see there is no tip, they most often lack or screw the order out of spite. Again, it’s their Job. What are they doing to justify tips? Yes, I’ve tipped many times but so over it, now. Just my opinion—and too, what’s happened to the ones who made the cones with a round top? Anymore, some Of the workers are handing over cones that look unappealing or like someone sat on them. It just seems some don’t care how long the customer is waiting; what they’re handing over—all the while eyeing that tip jar or receipt before making...
Read moreUnsanitary is the word I will use. My fiancée and I stopped by a few weeks ago. Service was extremely slow because it appeared to only be one person working at the time. I ordered 2 regulars and used cash. The guy at the window was wearing gloves, took the cash and gave me change. He then proceeded to make my order, while touching/packing the ice with the same gloves he used to take my cash. After noticing him do this, I asked him if that's what he did. He said yes and I asked him to change gloves and remake the order. It would be bad enough to do that when we're not in a pandemic, but seeing as how we are, I didn't appreciate how unsanitary this was. He clearly didn't like that I asked him to redo the order, his body language and short replies gave it away. He changed gloves and made 2 more, but they barely filled the cups this time. I just thanked him and left. Haven't been back. I mostly just wanted to give others a heads-up so they can pay attention and hopefully not have the...
Read moreAs a Pelican's SnoBalls connoisseur, I have visited 55+ locations throughout the Southern United States and have gotten multiple SnoBalls from each location. I do have to say that this location absolutely blew my mind. The flavors seemed intisified by the impeccable texture of the ice, the service was speedy and respectful(no frolicking in the back like other locations), and the atmosphere was better than any of the previously mentioned Pelican's. The employees were extremely friendly and knowledgable, any problem that I had was resolved immediately, which really rustles my jimmies. This location has flavors that I have never seen in my previous endeavors, all of which were unprecedently tasty. I had no choice but to give this location a 5 star rating due to the obvious superiority to all other Pelican's SnoBalls locations throughout the United States. Thank You to the owners and employees, you truly are as amazing and close to perfect as a...
