First timer from 3/8/2025!!!!
Me and my partner decided to try this place on a whim to try a new place as we drove an hour plus out of our way to go to Fresh Market. We found this location near Liberty Mall in West Chester, OH. Automatically we relished in the atmosphere of this location. Exposed brick, wood accents, and of course the old cars used as decour and eye candy layered throughout the dining room. It was very comforting and really gave it a homey feel. The menu was eclectic with a mix of apps, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, and even brunch specials on Sundays.
Itâs hard for me to see ahi tuna on a menu and NOT get it. This one was delish, covered in sesame seeds and accompanied by various sauces and an Asian slaw with seaweed salad and a wonton crisp. All components together were fantastic. I could have gotten three of those and been in heaven. For lunch, my partner got the brisket burnt ends patty melt. I had a bit of it and it was great and not overly sauced allowing the brisket to shine. The bacon jam on it really punched it up! He also got a side of Mac nâ cheese and their sweet potato tots with a caramel dipping sauce. They reminded us of mini glazed donut holes in the best possible way. It was a standout.
I had Henryâs Chicken which was grilled chicken with a lemon sauce, goat cheese, sundried tomatoes and I got their beer cheese Mac nâ cheese and broccoli. The chicken was actually too dry, BUT the flavor of the toppings still made it a delicious dish overall so I did not send it back and still enjoyed it. It reminded me of the Chicken Bryan from Carabbas Italian Grill, but as that is my favorite dish there I didnât mind whatsoever.
Finally, I wanted to comment on our server, Emily, who was such a treat. She was personable, engaging, and had some good recommendations. All of our drinks were refilled without needing to ask. She also wasnât at the table more than needed allowing me and my partner to have a good experience and time to enjoy a nice lunch out together. She made the lunch enjoyable and helped elevate...
Read moreMy first step into the restaurant, and I'd legitimately thought I'd walked into a museum, the atmosphere was PERFECT. Wall to wall Ford merchandise, cars galore, and the restroom was named the 'fluid disposal station'
(I'll readily admit that I laughed way too hard at that. I have the soul of a ten year old boy sometimes...or at least the humor, haha!)
I got a Lincoln Punch for a drink (Happy Hour!), and my mom and I started with the Edsel's Pretzels, which were deeply delicious, and barely even needed the honey mustard and beer cheese that came with them (though they were very tasty with the pretzels).
My mom ordered the HIgh-Octane Burger and fries (a change for her, who rarely has or even likes burgers), and I got the Ford's Signature Burger, with fries as well.
They weren't the best burgers we'd ever had, but they were absolutely tasty, with the sort of solid consistency that let me know that the food here is rarely anything approaching mediocre (which is shamefully a surprise in this day and age, a lot of restaurants don't bother with such things, even as they jack the prices way up): thick, juicy burgers with lots of flavor, soft buns, delicious BBQ sauce, crisp lettuce, tasty bacon. (And Mom said she LOVED the jalapenos on her High Octane.) And the fries were peppered to perfection.
Apart from a server that wasn't as attentive as she could have been - which was the only downside of the meal by a large margin, and it wasn't even that intolerable of a wait, to be honest - it really was an awesome visit.
When we come back, we'll...
Read moreWe walked in for the first time today. I asked the hostess if there was gluten free options to which she said yes, it was marked on the menu. I have celiac and this is NOT a place for true Gluten free options. It is a newer restaurant and would have been so easy to have a GF dedicated fryer. If a restaurant canât even do GF French fries due to âcross contaminationâ per the waitress, that is sad! Potatoes are naturally gluten free food. So we ended up leaving and the waitress made it awkward. She couldnât take the menus away from us fast enough when I said the above comment about the fries.
A lot of the food in our country is poison even if itâs marked âhealthyâ. I developed celiac at the age of 39. So you should be concerned about the food of a restaurant who canât even provide a food that is naturally gluten free!
*I appreciate the response of the owner and am upgrading from 1 star to 3 stars. Please let me know when you implement the gluten free dedicated fryers so that we can come back and try the food and hopefully get this up to 5 stars. There truly wasnât much of a selection of GF food outside of a salad. Salads get boring after awhile!
Oh and I would also work on getting more light in the restaurant. We visited on a very bright and sunny day (around 1:30 PM) and it was soooo dark inside (very minimal lighting, not pitch black). I would have fallen asleep had we ordered and waited for...
