Kathi’s Nauti Mermaid Beach House — Restaurant in Lincoln City

My husband and I saw this cute little spot from the road while driving around town in Lincoln City and we knew we had to come in to get a cocktail at some point. We LOVE it!! It was cozy and casual and for sure has some great regulars who were all very friendly and welcoming the multiple other times we returned! Kat was bartending the first night we were there and she was kind, welcoming, friendly and polite! She spoke with us like an old friend and I love that about her and how she runs Nauti Mermaid! I cannot recommend this place enough for the delicious drinks (love me some of the wild roots vodka and lemonades!) and the adorable atmosphere! The decor is perfect for the beach house vibe and the back outdoor area is beautiful (with some ocean view too!). All the 5 star reviews are accurate in their own way. It's smallish inside but comfortable. Tom, the owner, is great but if busy he's not chatty...thus the review about rude. He is not rude even in the slightest. He's one guy serving up to 20-30 people...seriously. Food is limited but good. Not a place for dinner; rather a place for a cocktail before dinner. Lots of locals, but a great for a visitor. Not a dive bar. One time a buddy ended up playing cribbage with a few ladies. I've spent 30 minutes here and 6 hours another time. My brother had been here about 20 times but I was like "whatever". I was wrong. It's a signature stop if you are in Lincoln City...

Great food, great atmosphere, great prices. I had a steak sandwich off the limited menu, but it all sounded good. The pup at the front door greets you like a bouncer to keep out all the riff raff. Tom worked hard with some of the nearby places closed due to Covid. Dont worry, the staff promotes mask wearing while out of your seat, but nothing of the sort while eating/drinking. My favorite part was that, unlike another nearby establishment, since there are so many tourists and hotels nearby the Nauti Mermaid did not jack up their prices to capitalize on the opportunity to gouge...
