We stopped in tonight for a quick dinner after a long week in town on vacation. The outside is very un inviting, looks like it’s abandoned. The inside is also very empty. No soda machines and barely any chips to choose from. We were greeted with so much love by Alan! He was excited to see us, even though he was very visibly overworked and HOT! He told us he had white or wheat bread available, and if we wanted Italian herbs and cheese it was just coming out of the oven and we would have to wait a while for him to be able to cut it and make a sandwich. We agreed on white bread. While we were there, he had the alarm going off for online orders, but when we got there, two other groups showed up when we did. He did our four sandwiches. He made a priority to the people in the store that were already there before the online order came in. That online order Customer did walk in while we were still getting our sandwiches, but luckily that person was patient and said it was OK. He was very friendly. He did talk about how he has worked 12 days straight and that he appreciated it because the paychecks were good, but he has been called in multiple times because other people have either called in or quit. It was very apparent to me that even though he works at Subway he takes this job very seriously. Which means he is a hard worker regardless of his occupation. We love that!! He did say he wished he had a fan because it was very hot in there. I agree it was very warm. The windows on the west side bring in a lot of heat. Subway can definitely afford to put some blinds in there for him as well as the customers. Alan worked very hard, but gave us the best customer service and quality conversation! I know each subway is independently owned, so I hope that the owner of the subway will recognize the fact that Alan is working his butt off to keep this location going and he deserves recognition and raise! Alan if you see this we think you...
Read moreThe reason I'm giving this place a one star rating is because of the girl who was working behind the counter, she had poor customer service skills.
I went to pick up a door dash order and when I walked in she immediately said:
"Her order has to be refunded." Without any explanation, I had asked her for what reason about two times before she finally responded with a rude attitude saying: "She ordered 19 cookies and we don't make that many because we only have one person that works here right now."
I called the girl who ordered her food from Door Dash and she asked if she could just get fewer cookies & when I tried to ask the girl up front she completely ignored me twice and started helping other customers almost as if she was acting like she couldn't hear me. She finally responded to me and I told her the girl would like to have whatever cookies they had left at Subway.
I then asked the girl up front at Subway if her order was ready and she replied:
"No, she said I have make it." With a rude tone once again.
I sat there for about 30 mins because this girl was taking new customers before finishing a Door Dash order & she decided that her order needed to be refunded because they didn't have enough cookies for how many she ordered....when she could of still made her sandwich and when I came to pick the order up she could of said:
"Hey, sorry we only have four cookies left could you let her know please and see if she still would like the 4 cookies or does she want to cancel her order completely?"
That would of been the appropriate way to handle the situation, but the employee didn't handle it that way and was very rude.
If you are not happy with where you work, then don't work there and make customers feel unhappy either.
Subway owners should really consider having a conversation with her about how she needs to treat customers and if not then maybe find better employees who value their job...
Read moreI went to the Lincoln City South store it was super packed with customers there were only 2 employees and one of them was soo... slow I ordered 2 sandwiches toasted she added the meat and veggies I choose and put them in to toast when she took them out I realized that she had forgotten to add the cheese I requested on either of them she then turned and went on to begin helping the gentleman after me so I quickly pointed this out to her and she apologized for having forgotten to add the cheese which normally would be added to the sandwiches before their toasted so it melts over and down into the meat this time though she just added the refridgerated cheese and did not even offer to put them back into the toaster to allow the cheese to melt and this is after they had already been sitting there cooling for about 8 min as she had been super busy doing other things, taking the bread out of the oven twice when the timer went off as well as both employees on shift were continually having to run into the back kitchen to bring fixings up front as they were out of a lot of stuff from their specialty meats to much of the vegetables they offer as well as condaments, one employee had to make fresh guacamole right at the counter where they take and make the sandwich orders so in the end it took 40 min from the time I walked in to the time I walked out with my 2 sandwiches and while they were no longer warm and the cheese was not melted, ooey, gooey into the sandwich the 2 employees helping all of us there were very nice even under all the...
