The only reason this gets 2 stars is because the girls helping were friendly & genuinely seemed like they wanted to make sure we got our order right.
Went through the drive thru on our way out of town for a couple drinks... TWO fountain drinks. That’s it. Simple right?
Riiiiiight.
Ordered a Diet and a Dr Pepper. Paid, got our drinks.. noticed neither have the ‘diet’ tab pushed down. Asked if the guy knew which one was diet ‘not sure’ was his answer. We figure we’ll be able to tell which one is Dr Pepper & the other would naturally be diet.
Hubs tasted the first one & said ‘ok this must be diet, it’s not Dr Pepper.’ I take a drink & I’m not sure if it’s actually diet because I couldn’t taste an aftertaste. Hubs realizes the other one is a cola also.
So he runs up to the restaurant to see if he can get our drinks replaced. Doors are locked because CoVID so only way is to go through drive thru. It really wouldn’t be a big deal but I’m diabetic & generally try to avoid sugar.
Go through the drive thru - explain we ordered Dr Pepper and Diet and didn’t get either, also that diet wasn’t pushed down & explained I’m diabetic so it’s important for us to know it’s sugar free. She apologized and said ‘oh for sure! Let me get that replaced’.
Got up to the window, the guy there started trying to give us a happy meal.. we said no no, we didn’t order that - explained about the drinks again.. they sent us forward and said they’d bring it out to us. Waited 10 minutes or so.. the employee comes out with a carrier of drinks, gave us 1 Dr Pepper and started giving us another that didn’t have the Diet tab pushed down.... again. We explained AGAIN that we really needed to know it was diet due to diabetes. She apologized and went to the people in front of us who were apparently waiting on them to replace a drink that was messed up on their order as well. ( they talked to hubs while we waited on the elusive Diet to finally make an appearance)
Waited a few more minutes & we finally receive our diet. Tasted it and yep, it was diet.. VERY clearly diet and the other ones were pretty obviously regular after tasting the clear aftertaste from the diet.
A quick trip through the drive thru for $2 worth of drinks ended up being a 20+ minute experience.
The sign on the building, promising to pay employees 15$ an hour is killing me after this sort of experience. I know fast food isn’t the easiest job, but when I was a teen- messing up a 2- fountain drink order THREE times and making a customer wait over 20 minutes for this drink btw- was unacceptable for a $7...
Read moreOrdered a Happy Meal for my 3-year-old. They were out of Chocolate milk. Unfortunately, thats all she will drink with her Happy Meal. She doesn't get chocolate milk at home, so her occasional Happy Meal chocolate milk is a tasty treat for her. I considered going elsewhere, but I had a thought -- I'll order a regular milk and they can just give me a couple tablespoons of chocolate syrup, and I'll mix it myself! I thought this was a great compromise! The guy who took my order said he thought that would be OK, but he would check with his manager.
Well, we wait in line for awhile (Spring Break -- it was busy), we pay at the first window, then get to the second window to pick up her food, and he hands me her regular milk and says his manager said "No" to the chocolate syrup. Wait WHAT!?? WHY!??!! This made no sense... THEY ran out of chocolate milk... why wouldn't they be willing to accomodate a customer to solve the problem?? I asked to speak with the manager.
The employee hollered "Christian, she'd like to speak with you!" Christian (the manager) was making shakes at the milkshake machine and yelled back "I'm busy!!!" I said "That's fine, I can wait." So I sat there waiting...he never came and talked to me. He walked by several times but never even looked at me. The employee was nice, and he understood my frustration. He seemed to agree with me that some chocolate syrup to mix in the chocolate milk was a good solution and wasn't too much to ask.
In the end, they must have gotten tired of me sitting there, because the employee came back with a small cup of chocolate syrup for her milk. See.... was that too hard!???
TIP for the future: If YOU are out of an item that a customer orders, YOU should take every step necessary to reasonably accomodate your customers. This was NOT an unreasonable request, and saying "No!" was absolutely appalling and ridiculous!
We will NOT be back here, and Christian should probably take a class in Customer...
Read moreThis is the worst customer service!!!!! We pulled up in the drive thru Xmas Eve & got in the right lane to order because a Jeep pulled in at the same time but took the left pane - there was 1 car in front of us. We waited for a long time to pull up & place our order - the Jeep that pulled in the same time we did ordered first. As I pulled up & continued to wait an employee came out & put cones behind me so no one else could come through. As I sat there still waiting to order I thought to myself we made it just in time - that's when a voice came over the speaker & said sorry we're closed. I tried getting someone to answer me but they didn't - I was stuck. I couldn't back up because of the cones so I had to wait in the drive thru line. When I got up to the 1st window the young girl kept looking at me & laughing & walked away. When I got to the 2nd window there was a kid cleaning a machine, he looked at me laughed & was talking to someone I couldn't see. They completely ignored me - it seems to me that if you put the cones behind my truck that I would be the last customer of the night - apparently that's not what that means at that McDonalds. We have relatives that live in the area & they won't go to that McDonalds because they are so rude. To top it off we didn't even want food just 2 milkshakes. I will do the same as our family & go to Dairy Queen down the street...
