McDonald's — Restaurant in Lincoln

If I could give zero stars I would. The cleanliness is disgusting. Half the employees in the kitchen as you watch them are not wearing gloves while they are still handling your food. When I see that I'm asking myself "where the f* has this stranger who hands are making my food have done with them? Did they just get done picking they teeth, whiping their ass, blowing their nose?" Who the hell knows? I don't know about the rest of the lincoln community but that's nasty as hell!!! I personally watched the drive thru cashier take cash with bare hands (which is fine) but then walk over and grab a waffle cone fill it with ice cream and pass back to the customers in the car. I'm sorry but if your going to handle cash then give me my food bare handed I'll have you stop right there and make it again with proper hygiene. I've worked fast food before for a year before moving ln to a much better job and at the location I was at if we handled cash we can't touch food and if your hands come in contact with any form of edible material you had better make sure you are wearing gloves. It's because of places like this location that you hear of people getting food poisoning because of the employees not practicing proper hygiene and food handling. And don't get me started on how rude one of the managers are and one of the workers in particular are. I don't have a problem eating fast food but watching the activity of the staff at this location literally makes my stomach turn. This is the second time in the last couple months I've gone to this McDonald's. Last month someone got my order's son wrong he's Autistic and only wants meat cheese bun plain cheeseburger as I told them both. First it was a snarky response from the worker who said she knew what a plain cheese burger was and I told her my apologies sometimes they'll still put sauce. Well they did and then the person argued and said I didn't ask for plain which was definitely not true. To make it worse it took them even longer to get the other burger and when it was given to me it was only cheese and a bun no meat. I took it back once more and by this time my son was eating all of the fries and drinking multiple drinks because he was hungry but still wanted the burger. The 3rd time they got it right I didn't put that review up because it was later in the evening and pretty crowded so I figured maybe that Employee had a rough day. They did apologize too and were polite to my son. I've also worked in the food service so I have a lot of empathy for food service workers.

Now the 5 star review is because yesterday my son, grandma, brother and I went back to this McDonald's around 11am yesterday and we had a very pleasant experience from a woman who was working in the front. She said "welcome to the happy place" and was very hungry and treated McDonald's like it was a full service restaurant and greeted everyone with a smile. I went to this McDonald's the other night after work in the Drive-Thru to get a strawberry banana smoothie which I have gotten before. I usually ask them to put a little whipped cream on it which makes it that much better and enjoyable. All the other places I've ever gotten these including Jack in the Box always put whipped cream on it and even a cherry. This time I got a lady from hell that was so rude and insisted on charging me more for the whipped cream that I told her just to give me my money back. After we exchanged unpleasantries I asked her if it was worth losing a customer and pissing them off also?? She didn't have the guts too come back & face Me and give Me my money back after that!! . She had one of the other guys that works there do it. She was a complete Witch about the whole situation!! Like I told her, even Starbucks doesn't charge extra for whipped cream!! It's not so much about the extra money which was $0.29 but the principal because I'd already paid close to six bucks for the drink itself!! Plus I was getting an iced tea also!! People like this need to be removed from dealing with the public because they're terrible PR people for their companies!!
