Oh One Love - you broke my heart. I so wanted to Love you, but I just can't. Based on some of the recent reviews that comments like "Almost didn't go here because of negative reviews. So glad we gave them try." So, with this advice, I went against my better and usual judgment to avoid restaurants with less than a 4.0 star rating. I should know better.
Vibe: I can see that alot of the appeal is the massive deck, which is great on a beautiful day. I sat inside at the bar - and have nothing really negative or positive to say about the vibe. The place was somewhat busy, so good energy from that stand point.
Service: At first, service was good and had a good convo on their beers and recommendations. There weren't any real gaps in service, but service could have been a bit more attentive. I did notice much of the staff liked to congregate at the end of the bar and chat - hence the level of attention.
Food/Beer: The Vienna Lager was good, but certainly not anything I would make a special trip for. I had the Veggie Head Burger with Fries. The fries were your standard Seasoned/Coated Fries - they have some flavor and stay hot and crispy. OK - those were the high points. So let's talk about the Veggie Head - the online menu states that it had Fried Avocado, but in restaurant the "fried" is crossed out, so just Avocado. I was OK with that as I know there are still issues with supplies. But when it came out, it was smashed Avocado and felt like a packaged/frozen product. As for the Southwest Style Veggie Burger - I was forewarned that they didn't make it in house and I was yet again OK with that - but there was absolutely not texture to it. At least put it on the grill to give it some crisp. The Burger is topped with Salsa - yet another problem - the juice from the salsa, pooled on the plate, making the bottom of the bun soggy. Next epic failure - the bun - it was overly dense and worse yet, not toasted. When you have a burger without texture, toasting can add texture. So in other words, the burger was a soggy, pile of mush.
Overall, I should trust my gut and I am sure there are better places in Lincoln, NH to...
Read moreI went to One Love Brewery since the reviews were decent and I enjoy brewery restaurants. I was very disappointed with my experience here. The staff was fine, the beer was okay, and the food was bad. The fall spice beer was okay but on the sweeter side. It was almost impossible to order a second beer since our waitress was very busy, unfortunately. The French fries were standard fare and decent. I would order these again. We ordered the two taco dishes on the menu. Both were served in flour tortillas and placed in taco holders. There were both over stuffed and nearly impossible to eat without spillage. The duck taco had a conflicting sweet honey sauce on it and was very dry. The lettuce and fixings were fine and seemed fresh. The combination of the duck and the sauce ruined the taco experience The vegan tacos were the extremely disappointing. I found them to have no flavor and proceeded to spice mine with salt and pepper. That didn’t help, so I added Cholula hot sauce to mask the blandness that was the vegan tacos. The tacos were full of red skinned potatoes, and mine even had white pasta in them. The vegan chorizo had a typical texture but the flavor was lacking. The most flavorful part was the lettuce garnish in the bowl. The wait staff seemed busy and hard working. Our interactions were quick ‘drive-by’s for water, ketchup, or the check. We found it difficult to flag someone down for help. The QR code on the table for the food menu doesn’t work so you must have the paper menu in hand. For the atmosphere, I would the restaurant very busy and loud, which is what I expected for a brew pub. I am on currently on crutches and found the floors very slippery. It does not seem wheelchair accessible since there are many stairs to get into the restaurant, and the other outdoor entrance was blocked off. The bathrooms were also tight. Overall I appreciate the staff and...
Read moreNothing special.I wouldn't recommend it and I won't be returning but with that said it wasn't horrible. I was with a party of 8 on a Tuesday at 4:30. The place was empty and we were seated immediately. The waitress was very friendly the place was clean and we got our food quickly. The place really doesn't have a whole lot of ambience. I ordered the sea scallops they were definitely previously frozen and not fresh but this is New Hampshire so I guess I shouldn't expect to get fresh scallops anywhere. I felt like half were cooked perfectly and the other half we're not. They were in some type of lemon butter white wine sauce which was really lacking any kind of flavor. The jalapeno slaw on the side was pretty tasty but the rasta pasta was absolutely horrible. It was basically dried tortellini that comes in a box from the grocery store in Italian dressing. Another person in our party got the vegan burger he was also disappointed. I was told by two members of our party that the lamb chops we're very good they were cooked perfectly and we're tasty. I guess the only other issue I had was when we first sat down the waitress begin to read off all of the selections on the menu that we're not available. There were at least four of them. They were all entrees. I was originally going to order something with shrimp but my daughter ordered before me and asked for a shrimp dish and was told by the waitress that she was sorry but they were out of shrimp. Just found it a little unusual that on a Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 they were out of half of the entrees on the menu. Like I said the whole experience wasn't horrible but I can find absolutely no reason at all to ever return to this...
