Had a great time doing the wine tasting. The staff member who served us, Kristin, was excellent and very helpful. She answered all of our questions and educated us about the different varieties we sampled and how to best enjoy our wine at home. She was very understanding of the fact we were novices who had never done a wine tasting before and made us feel welcome, so shout out to her! Thanks Kristin for the great experience, and thank you for the wine suggestions. We both learned a lot from our visit and ended up purchasing a set of glasses, an aerator / stopper, and a bottle of one of the wines. Looking forward to coming back next time we're up in Lincoln.
Update: 2nd Visit (5/8/24)
We did the winery tour this time which was really eye-opening. My party had the tour to ourselves and got the full experience. We got to ask the winemaker (Nathan) all of our questions and even help participate in the process by testing the sugars for the cider. It was a really cool experience that I will not soon forget. Thanks, Nathan! Keep up...
Read moreWe went to Seven Birches Winery for the second time. In part because we were going to be in the area and in part because it's a nice area and the first time we went the flight of wines was not too bad. The second time we went however was a bit disappointing. This time we didn't order a flight of wine, just a glass. We did however order a charcuterie board. We hadn't had lunch so we thought the $39 board would satisfy our hunger. When we were presented with the tray we were quite surprised to be given packaged cheeses, crackers, salami, prosciutto and pickles. We had to do the work yet we were being charged a hefty price. So if you go, go for the wine and the view, but don't go for the charcuterie board. So far our favorite place with a great charcuterie board was Gilmanton Winery.
*In response to your answer. what you should do is tell the people that the only option is that they have to create their own board.
The way you have it described makes it seem like it will already be put together. It's a bait and...
Read moreDecent place and wine, purchased two bottles of reds (Pinot Noir & Cabernet Sauvignon). The minute I entered I was greeted with a welcome but the person quickly checked my wrist to see what kind of watch I was wearing (Garmin) (donât want to say who and yes I saw that look she gave me lol). FYI, I was in my hiking attire as well lol. Right after the welcome and how can I help you? was pretty much like hurry up are you going to buy something attitude but in a nice way, So I asked for some tasting for two white and reds so I can purchase some bottles to go back home to NYC, so she nicely served me two whites and red to taste without telling me. Yay, I guessed all of them and her face expression changed, right away. I asked for the two reds and checked out. Point of this review.. I run 3 Bar Restaurants in NYC so please donât judge, I would never do that to someone. For the wine.. itâs decent for the shop price and interior is nice but too judgmental. Maybe it was the personality or something. My first experience over there...
