PieZoni's Pizza — Restaurant in Lincoln

No bike rack. Easy to reach by RIPTA. Always friendly & speedy. A nice selection of yummy gluten free pizzas. We come here often. It's one of the few places that the majority of folks in the house like. Bright, cheery, well kept. Ample free parking. NOT particularly easy to notice from a vehicle in normal traffic. Pretty much directly across the street from a popular fast food chain known for fresh bread (Pan3r@). So if you've passed the P place, you've passed Piezoni's. That's true for either direction (116 North or South). So if you've passed the P place, turn around. Prices are reasonable. Oh they often have little convenience-size gluten free desserts too (usually brownies).

Tip for gluten free diners: YOU must remember and specify any modifications for making an item gluten-free. That is, they will not do thinking and editing of an order for you. For instance, one pizza we order often has one ingredient that is not guaranteed to be GF. So the person ordering must specify that the ingredient be omitted. They do not think, 'Oh, the crust is gluten-free so the person who ordered must not want this particular ingredient.' Rather, they will build the pizza as normal except on a GF crust and a pan, and include the suspect...

Absolutely terrible customer service. I ordered a few things ahead of time through their website but minutes later ran into some personal issues. So I called the store requesting a refund because I would not be able to pick up my order on time and the “owner” said No refunds allowed. Okay cool so I asked for store credit or any other way to accommodate me. He says I cannot get a refund and there is no other way to accommodate me. He also claimed I had an attitude when I did not. I was put on hold for about 30 seconds in which I thought he would find a solution to the issue but he claimed it is store policy that they cannot give refunds and that they have a sign in the store that says that. So of course after back and forth for some time, he hung up on me and I went to the store. When I get there the owner says the same thing but there is no sign posted. After trying to get my refund (which I didn’t) I just took the chicken wings that seemed to be made out of 100% fat and chicken stomach, and the nice round cardboard with cheese and cheap tomato sauce and left the store. Jim (the owner) is such a terrible person and has the worst customer service skills I have probably ever...

UPDATE: I received a call back from the manager. Super friendly, nice and apologetic. My order was refunded. I will return and give them another try since this was an isolated incident and corrected!

We got a Calzone with NO CHEESE. Pizza dough & veggies, sauce on the side (as requested). I called the Lincoln location and was put on hold for over 13 minutes. Hung up and called back and the phone rang about 15 times...they answered and HUNG UP ON ME. 3rd call. Same girl answers and tells me "yea, well we're busy and trying to take care of our customers". Hello!!! I'm a customer too!!! She finally asks for my name and says she will have a manager call me back "because she didn't do my order and wasn'tthere when it happened". Alrighty then!! Asked for her name and she said Liz. Doubt she took my info to pass on to a manager since she was so busy. This was the 3rd or 4th time ordering from them and possibly the last. Everyone makes mistakes but the attitude I can definitely...
