The Hot Mess — Restaurant in Lincoln

I arrived in this bar for a drink at 1am. Showed my ID, and sat at the bar, without doing any trouble. The bartender, pretending I was doing a mess, asked me to leave. There was no reason for that, as much of the other people I could see around in the bar were doing more than me. I asked for a glass of water then, that was refused to me first, then was accepted. As I was drinking it silently, one of the barmaide sudenly took my glass, threw it on the ground with violence (I was always very calm during this time...) and told me to leave in a very maner... So, the place look nice, but the bartenders here have definitely to learn some basis empathy elements... Anyway, I recomand you not to go there unless you know the bartender, because there, is a place where they seem not to...

Let me paint the picture of my time at 'A Hot Mess' – and yes, the name truly speaks for itself. From the get-go, I felt the energy. The first encounter with Steven, well, let's just say his demeanor matched the bar's name perfectly. The whole 'pay as you go' policy? Totally fine, but did it have to come with a side of passive-aggressive vibes? Then, round two, the curly-haired bartender lady stepped in with the same lovely energy as Steven. When I tried to order two drinks at once, it was a hard 'no,' accompanied by a flippant 'because I said so.' Is that how people get treated here? Meanwhile, she's playing favorites with her pals. It's like they had a 'no newcomers allowed' sign flashing above the bar. With other welcoming gay bars in the area, I'd recommend giving this one...

Totally impersonal staff who took 10+ mins to make a single bloody Mary, in the middle of which stopped to make someone else's strangely right after I asked a question about an ingredient (I thought it was sauce soy and am allergic) only to respond "Do you wanna make it" and when I tried to explain I was asking because of an allergy was given a dirty look. I had to ask 4 or 5 times for there attention to get my check and was finally able to leave. I am currently sitting at home 15 minutes later on the verge of puking feeling horrible .Do...
