Notice that all of the good reviews mention the bar, the Capitol bar has its own menu and there food is pretty good for bar food but this is a review for the 111 restuarant. The wait staff are excellent and the decor is nice but the food is not. It's obvious they pay a lot of attention to the presentation of the food, it looks nice, but the food is quite simply not good. The portions are ridiculously small, I can't remember ever being more dissatisfied after having a three course meal. I had the crab cake for my main course, it is a main course so I was surprised when a plate with one very small crab cake was placed in front of me. I am not a big person so I typically dont care about portion sizes but this crab cake might have weighed 1 or 2 oz. Adding insult to injury my $29 crab cake lacked anything resembling flavor. I felt I needed to mention the main course first because it was so bad but make no mistake the whole meal was a disappointment. I had soup for an appetizer that tasted mostly of salt and the dessert was ok but nothing spectacular. For the money this is one of the worst places in Little Rock to eat dinner, I assume it is there to take advantage of the hotel patrons, people who more than likely wont be back either way. If your from out of town please dont waste your money on a meal here, get an uber to Trios, The Pantry, Bossa Nova or anywhere but here. Little Rock has much more to...
Read moreI have been going to brunch here every Sunday, in correlation with Robinson's 1:00p shows, for an entire season and would like to continue this next season. However, this last brunch was not as extraordinary as times passed. I walked up to the reservation podium and told the lady behind it that I had a reservation. I gave her my name and she asked to see proof of my reservation; embarrassing but I compiled. The atmosphere and service were impeccable as always but the food was somewhat disappointing. The menu, however extensive, didn’t show GF options for my date, that would have been helpful. Our champagne, that we got for our carafe, was FLAT, and nor did I receive maple syrup with my french toast. I'm not trying to be picky here but knowing the standards of One Eleven, I was a little taken aback by the flat champagne and the lack of maple syrup, as well as the manners from the lady at the reservation podium. I look forward to giving One Eleven another try, when I go see Peter Pan in September. I just hope this review will help the restaurant improve some...
Read moreBottom Line: Excellent food and environment, but questionable service.
This was our first time to visit One Eleven. We are massive fans of the Capital Bar & Grill as well as the general vibe of the hotel. So, we have always wanted to try One Eleven, especially after hearing such great things about their brunch.
When we arrived, it took us about 10 minutes to get the attention of the hostess. In her defense, she seemed to be addressing some sort of a situation. Once we were seated, it took our waitress a good bit to come by. While she was kind, she was generally inattentive.
Our food, however, was excellent. The eggs Benedict and the Salmon eggs Benedict were both spot-on, truly some of the best we’ve had. The coffee was also very good.
It was an overall good experience; it was just a bit disheartening to feel like an afterthought to the waitstaff.
We are going to give it another try at some point to see if the...
