The Breakfast Club at Midtown — Restaurant in Livermore

We arrived around 3. There were 2 other tables with people. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, medium with club fries. My wife ordered the ruben with club fries. I had water. She had a diet coke. Our server was very into talking with the other server. We had to ask for more water and diet coke. It took a couple of minutes since he had to finish talking about what hours he works and other things. My burger finally came out after about 25 minutes from ordering. It was dry and over-cooked. The club fries were good. They remade my burger that took 5 minutes this time and it was on the rare side but that is better than being overcooked. We heard the regular cooks were not there and had to help at another restaurant since the cooks there went out drinking the night before. By this time I only ate half of the meal. The ruben was good. With all the waiting and lack of service, we were there over 90 minutes. We had to ask for refills a couple of times, including going up to the bar since he was just talking and talking with the other server We asked for a manager, but no-one was there. Only the two of them. By this time, there was only one other couple in the restaurant. We were there once before, a couple of months ago for breakfast. Not sure if we will go back. Livermore has some great restaurants. We were hoping the breakfast club would be one of them....

We went for a late lunch around 3pm on Mother’s Day, we were seated immediately but waited 20 min to order, then another 45 min for our food. When it came out, the waiter dropped half of it (totally not his fault of course) and didn’t really apologize. Our replacement food probably ended up at the end of the queue instead of being expedited for their mistake. So we wait another 20ish minutes for our food while our kids are getting impatient and hungry. Keep in mind this is 4pm now on a Sunday and it is not busy whatsoever so I’m not sure what the hold up was. We asked for things multiple times (missing bread from an order, missing chocolate milk, missing creamer for coffee, missing fry order) and it took multiples asks or didn’t show up at all. At the end, the waiter left the missing items on the check and we had to tell him to remove them. I’m surprised they didn’t comp this terrible meal/experience. Don’t waste your time or money! Oh and don’t particularly like eating where there’s people sweeping and cleaning the restaurant as...

Living across the street makes this place convenient and the food is great, good portions however service just seemed rushed and not very personable. Also the amount of trash that is scattered around outside the restaurant and down the streets is horrendous!!!! Literally daily. They don’t seem to keep their area or the community clean or safe. Everyday their napkins, newspapers and receipts amongst other things get blown through the streets. Everyday I walk I pickup handfuls of trash multiple times a day so I’ve since stopped going due to the neglect of responsibilities and disrespect to the neighborhood. There are plenty of other places to enjoy a meal and I’d rather spend money at places that care about the community and the guests they are serving instead of a rushed feeling meal and dirty environment.
