I placed an order here on 4/7/2020- Shelter in Place era. The order that was placed involved 4 entrees (2 sandwiches and 2 salads) and 2 Large chips. Upon arrival I was very pleased to see visible safety information and hand sanitizer available for customer use. The two ladies that were working that day had masks on as well. They were incredibly friendly and chipper which is so great to experience during this glum time. I was greeted immediately and asked my name. They were just starting to work on my order that I had placed around 25 minutes earlier so I'm sure they were working on other doordash and pick up orders and fell a little behind. I've worked in food service and understand that happen sometimes, so no biggie, plus they looked like they were working really hard.
Around 45 minutes in total to get my order so in case patience/ you need to get food for your 30 minute lunch break I would hold off on this place. Food was pretty standard for a Philly cheese steak place, it will for sure fulfill...
Read moreClearly this place doesn't stand behind their product. Took one bite, tasted weird- just not good, chicken tasted like beef, something was up, plus it looked like a kid ate it and spat it back out, it was pulverized. Took it back, Said it wasn't good, asked for a refund (only a small bite was taken) and was refused. It was a half sandwich, and only part of a larger order. Any business that won't refund when there's a complaint about quality is some place I will never go back. Tossed it in the trash and left. I will say we have come here before without quality issue but we have had incorrect orders remade. Last time the sandwich I got didn't taste the best either but it was a different style so I thought maybe that was the issue.. Definitely an overall down turn in quality in the last year. This wasn't our first order, we've frequented here and the Pleasanton location, but it was definitely the last purchase from this brand. Just lost more than one customer...
Read moreSadly disappointed. Cheese steaks are my favorite and I was excited to try this place since I've drove by it so many times. Sandwiches were way smaller than we thought. Meat was horrible quality. Stringy, and more like ground beef than steak. Bread was really dry, overtoasted, and stale. The "hot peppers" (which were just jalapenos which they should have just said) and sweet peppers were wilty, soggy and cheap canned food quality. Basically the same as dollar tree canned peppers. Cheese was equivalent to Kraft, and my bf ordered the pizza Philly which he said tasted like vomit. We waited for a bit more than 15 minutes for our sandwiches and expected it to taste fresh and better than a fast food sandwich. I learned that Charlies is actually MUCH better, cheaper, and faster, and they are fast food phillies. This is probably the only bad Philly I've had and I've had store bought microwave. Sad that this place ruined my favorite...
