I hate to leave a nasty comment on this restaurant because I had big hopes it would be up to standards. My first impression of this restaurant was horrible. I went in with my bf for lunch and the owner seemed very weird he was starting at me and my bf the whole meal almost standing over us with his hands behind his back almost like monitoring his customers it made me feel very uncomfortable and my bf said something too he was just walking around but like next to everyone who was eating. It’s a very vey small place to dine so he really had nowhere to walk around so the fact he couldn’t sit down in one place the whole time and kept like I said watching us and monitoring us it felt like . I was very very uncomfortable I will not be returning to this place I hope someone says something to this owner because the atmosphere was off it was creepy what he was doing idk if he just doesn’t understand people deserve privacy and respect when eating a meal and he has no one of that . Second the food you can tell it was just put together fast and wasn’t good at all this place is not worth it you’ll be very uncomfortable by the male owner and the atmosphere and food is off for a what seems to be a cute little mom and pop or family owned restaurant but not the vibe one bit . Other then that I hope this owner learns to properly run a business because this most definitely doesn’t make the business a good place . Other then that everything else ya ok . Just the owner was creepy and the main issue the whole time i couldn’t understand why he was staring at me any my bf it got to the point where I didn’t finish my food and we just paid and left because of the owner he needs something to occupy him not stare at his customers and like invading their privacy and respecting their space because he couldn’t do those two things he was always standing over me it was weird like I said for like the third time. I don’t recommend this place there’s way better I suggest yotsuba in Ann Arbor that place is amazing ! If you want good...
Read moreOur order of udon arrived with half the soup spilled into the plastic bag that it was wrapped in. This likely happened while it was being delivered. However, that wasn’t the most concerning part. The most concerning part was the styrofoam cup the soup was contained in was melted on the inside. I’m glad I poured the soup out and looked in the cup and felt it because the inside was totally warped and felt like the styrofoam had been eaten away. I felt something was wrong because when I held the styrofoam cup it was really soft and felt like it was going to collapse. Either the soup was way too hot when they poured it in the styrofoam or it was microwaved…. I called the restaurant to inform them of this and whoever I spoke to blamed the Grubhub driver for spilling it. I clarified that it’s not the spilled soup I was very concerned about. It was the styrofoam inside that was damaged and I don’t want to feed my kid contaminated soup/food. Before I could finish explaining the melted styrofoam, the lady on the phone sighed, and hung up on me. It was extremely rude and showed they clearly don’t care about customer feedback or properly storing their food when sending it out. I didn’t expect anything from them but they should simply know that the styrofoam was damaged inside and can cause serious illness to others who eat it without knowing. Also, throwing in noodles into soup and packaging it like that makes the noodles swell up and get extremely mushy. It should be packaged separately for take out orders. Either way, the lady who picked up was not apologetic, blamed the Grubhub driver, and worst of all, hung up while I was mid sentence. Thankfully Grubhub was very kind and reimbursed us for that order of udon which was really...
Read moreI’ve been a customer at So Blue Moon Sushi and generally enjoy supporting local businesses, but unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience regarding a billing issue that I feel needs to be shared.During a recent visit, my credit card was accidentally charged twice for the same transaction. I politely brought it to the attention of the staff at the time, but was told that the first charge didn’t go through—even though my bank account showed both charges as processed. After confirming with my card company that the duplicate charge had indeed gone through, they advised me to try resolving the matter directly with the restaurant before finalizing the dispute. I followed that advice and returned to the restaurant to speak with someone in person. While the woman I spoke with was understanding and calm, I was surprised and disappointed by how defensive and aggressive the male owner became when I attempted to explain the situation. I made it clear I wasn’t there to cause any problems—just to sort out what I hoped was a simple mistake. However, he insisted I deal with it through my card company and showed no willingness to look into the issue further. In the end, my card company handled the dispute, but the interaction left a bad impression. Mistakes can happen, and I completely understand that. However, the tone and approach during the conversation made the situation more difficult than it needed to be. Had I been met with more courtesy, I wouldn’t have felt the need to leave this review. I hope the business takes this feedback constructively good customer service matters, especially when...
