So this is the first time I've ever ordered from a Marcos Pizza. So today I decide to order some food. it's a Sunday, I wanted Chinese, it's 11am, no place is open, and I notice there Is now a Marcos by me and it's open. Great this will be my chance to try them out and hopefully they are better than my local Pizza Hut (I like Pizza Hut food sometimes) because they are awful at everything. Heard these guys were supposed to be QUALITY product.
So I go online to this barebones but functional site and order a toasted 6" sub on white bread (which is all I really wanted) and then a small ultimate (whatever the name was) pepperoni Pizza that's supposed to have normal and "old world style" Peps on it. My test for a Pizza store is the quality of their pepperoni. Seriously. So I leave the one half with just regular peps just to try them out. I also order ranch and garlic sauce. Now this Pizza has ALL these WONDERFULLY delicious sounding things on the crust like Roma and garlic butter and parmesean I'm thinking "ok I'll have a cool spot to order from when I'm in town that's not Pizza Hut". I place the order with a 4.55 tip added with more on the way if service is good.
First thing, 3 minutes later I get a call back from "Marcus" who says he is the store manager and asks me if I'd like wheat bread because they are out of white. No, I would not, so take it off. Guy also sounds like he has no business in a mgmt position. Strike one.
I didn't count the minutes because I wasn't planning on doing a review, but it seemed like it got here in 30 or so minutes (3.8 miles away, but I don't hold distance against anyone being in the business I know that makes ZERO difference a lot of the time).
Driver hands me my food (out of the bag when I open the door, with napkins on top of it and a part packet on top of that, loose (?), and says "here you are". OK. I take it inside, ask for a pen and he hands me his phone to sign, which was cool, and then says thanks and walks away. That's about as lame a delivery as you can get. No please, thank you, call me by name, etc. Whatever. So I go inside and notice my sauce cups are missing, and one side of the pizza (without the old world peps) has a total of 5 peps. 4 1/2 actually if you count the one that was half into the other half of the pizza. The other half has tiny nickel sized shriveled Peps all over it, but still, Strike two.
I call the store. Put me on hold for 5 minutes, then phone hangs up. I call back (this is 12:05pm on a non-football Sunday mind you) and immediately says TY for calling Marcos please hold again, and I say no I was just on hold 5 minutes and got hung up on. He goes silent, and then says "uuuhhhhhh ok hang on just a minute" and then puts the phone down, which Is putting me on hold without hitting the button. 3 more minutes go by (I can hear all kinds of commotion like music or a loud TV or something in the background.. VERY loud.) he comes back and I tell him my problem. He says uhhhhh ok hang on, and then another guy picks up. They both sound the same to me. I tell the second guy and he says uhhhhh let me check your order I think I remember you, and I say "yeah I'm the guy whose bread you didn't have" and he says yeah I made your Pizza I'm sure I made it right, hang on a sec. I'm already pissed now. He comes back and tells me they make their Pizza by a chart and he made it correctly, with 16 peps on the pizza. (he is now both arguing with me and effectively calling me a liar) I said, "ok yeah I own a Pizza franchise (I do, 8 stores in two states) I know how charts work, so like I said there are FIVE peps on one half, so do the math man". And then there's the sauce cups.
He offers me (after many words) an $8 credit. Doesn't offer to replace the pizza. Or bring my sauce cups out, or anything else. Then I try the product. The Peps (all 5) ARE good, the sauce is meh, & the other half WAS "decent". The crust? Meh, no better than Pizza Hut or domino's to be honest. So I ended up paying 19.56 for a small "meh" Pizza....
Read moreDear Marco’s Customer Support,
I am writing to formally raise a concern about the service I received from the Marco’s Pizza location at 5000 Bill Gardner Parkway, Locust Grove, GA on 9/22/25 @ 8:45pm.
I placed an online order for a pizza and specifically selected white sauce. When my order arrived, it was incorrect, the pizza had red sauce on it. I immediately called the store and explained the issue. Unfortunately, the representative who answered the phone was rude and dismissive. She told me “nothing could be done” and insisted I had placed the order wrong. She further stated that because I “didn’t select ‘no’ on base sauce,” both sauces were added.
This explanation is unreasonable. The website workflow clearly instructs customers to choose one option for sauce, not both. Why would a customer select both if the interface presents it as a single-choice option? If your ordering system requires additional steps, this should be clearly indicated at checkout to avoid customer confusion.
What made this worse was the lack of professionalism: • The representative refused to assist me. • She was disrespectful and dismissive. • She hung up the phone and refused to provide her name.
This is unacceptable. I understand that I am only one of many customers you serve each day, but this treatment left me extremely dissatisfied. Poor customer service and a lack of accountability do not reflect the quality I expect from Marco’s Pizza.
I expect: A phone call to rectify this matter. A clear explanation of why your online ordering system would require multiple selections when it is presented as a single-choice option. Appropriate corrective action with the employee involved.
I have also taken a screenshot of my order screen to show what I was able to see on the website. Please let me know where I can forward this image for review.
I look forward to your response and a resolution to this issue.
I have already completed the contact form and sent an email to corporate so please do not reply to this post with the generic please fill out the contact form, as it has already been completed and my contact information is...
Read moreWe ordered a pizza over the phone received confirmation. We went to pick up the pizza in locust grove because that's where I ordered it . When my wife went in they stated they did not have the order and advised my wife the order was at Racetrack road location in McDonough. We went to that location which is on total opposite sides of town just to find out we was given bad information because they did not have our order. So I called back down to locust grove location spoke with a female who stated she just had someone come in which was my wife. she then stated she just didnt know. We sat there in silence for a few I finally just gave up. Anyway I've from Marcos on many occasions always had great service but this one beats the cake I understand things happen but to tell my wife one thing and was asked if confirmed your associate said yes at Racetrack location. But of course it was not. That was one issue but the biggest issue honestly not one of the stores asked can they go ahead and take our order. I guess they had their quota for the day. It's sad Marcos pizza are fantastic but if ya got no customer service what's the use. Thank God for...
