On August 25, 2023 I checked out of the hotel. It is unfortunate how one situation can change your perspective on an establishment. Upon checking out and being in a rush I forgot my fast Apple charger. This charger is more than $50. I called the front office once I realized I had lost it. The staff on the night shift explain that no one checked into the room after me since I left. I asked them to please check the room for my charger not sure if they did or just blowing me off. They said it was not there and to check if day shift may have found it. So, I did the next day and the same person was who I spoke to the night before was still working day shift and said they would contact housekeeping. She then explained she called housekeeping to verify if they had seen my charger, she said that housekeeping said they had no seen it either. If no one checked in, front desk night/ morning shift, and housekeeping had not seen it then where could it be. The front desk person did mention she has the same charger as I did ummm. Well Iâve spent a lot of money at this hotel but due to this situation I will take my business elsewhere. Itâs so unfortunate because I really enjoyed this hotel. I was told by the front desk that itâs company protocol to return whatever was lost by the customer to lost and found, and make a notations as well as contacting the customer. But none of that was done because supposedly they had not found anything. I find it hard to believe that nobody found it. Itâs hard to find honest people nowadays.
Update: I was contacted my a staff member on August 28, 2023. In regards to my charger, I explained the situation to the staff member. She then told me she would look in the lost and found, and if she could not find my charger she would courtesy me one night stay. I called back to let her know that I came in on August 27, 2023 in the morning to check and see if my charger was in the lost and found it was not. She also confirmed when she checked it was not there either. She then asked me what day what I like to stay. I expressed to her today would be fine. She then told me she doesnât know if she can give me tonight. Honestly, it saddens me to have to go through this. I just want my charger instead I got contacted for another let down. Why asked me what day would I like to stay, and cannot provide me the day of my choosing if you were trying to correct the situation. I hate to leave reviews like this especially when I like the establishment.
Second update: My charger is gone but, I am pleased they were able to accommodate me by offering me a free night...
   Read moreI believe this place to be a scam because. 1. The hotel we stayed at was out of state, making it harder for us to dispute local overcharges. 2. We where wrongfully charged a $200 hold to our account the next day. When we called to ask why, we where told the room smells like Marijuana.. And the front lady (Mindy Bowen) was very unprofessional as in like a "ha ha", manner. 3. My wife and I, nearly in our 50's, small business owners, decided to stop overnight somewhere on our trip from Florida to Indiana, to rest for the night. We choose to stay outside the big towns and pulled over to Locust Groove, GA. Thinking crime and rates would be cheaper for the Holiday's, with our dogs. Which we called ahead and was told there was no extra charge for pets, and we liked that part! But, when we got in about 9:45pm 10/27 and left approx 9:30am 10/28 the next morning. It was an indoor hotel room nearly next to the front desk. We could literally smell the coffee at the front desk, inside our room, with the door closed... Not to mention all the traffic we could hear from people coming and leaving, doors being shut, footsteps above us, etc.. But I just needed to rest and didn't care. We had enough time to let the dogs out twice, sleep, and I took a few minutes in the morning to plan the rest of the trip, then we left. There where no issues with anyone, nor did we really even acknowledge anyone, other then passing by in the narrow hallway to our doors.. The next day we found an extra charge for simply "the smell"... I can assure anyone, we don't smoke marijuana.. 4. My wife is disabled and because we where out of state, and a considerable easy target. We believe these charges where wrongfully charged to us. We called several times during business hours, on business days, to dispute the charges with the manager. Every time we are told he is not there.. I wonder how many times they get away with over charging people for simply saying, "they smelled smoke", with no other evidence other than that.. Our room did NOT smell like marijuana, the hotel was just cheap and possibly coming from another room, but most definitely not ours.. I WOULD NOT LET MY DOGS, EVER STAY AT THIS PLACE!!!!    Read moreI donât know where to begin!! I came in very late that night, exhausted from traveling, after two hotels previously said they were all sold out for the night came upon Red Roof Inn. I must be honest, on the outside looking in, I was like, Lord Jesus protect me and my girls! (I was traveling alone with my daughters) When God had sent an Angel to watch over us, his name just happened to be Mr. Atul (forgive me if I spelled it incorrectly). His customer service was outstanding! Atul showed a very genuine sincerity for me and my daughters. After noticing and realizing that the room may not accommodate all four of us plus a canine, he suggested a second room. I booked one room through hotels.com and the other one in person in which he gave me a really great price on (favor ainât fair) and tried to get our rooms side by side but couldnât, he stated to me not to worry, Iâll keep an eye on the girls, if they come out after you have already settled them, Iâll let you know and Iâll make sure they go back into the room as well. He also said, you just go and relax and get some rest. I felt very very safe there with him watching over us, people he didnât even know. I also noticed that he was very alert and watchful for all who walked through that door, especially if they seemed a little off and didnât look as if they were supposed to be there.But what really got me is when we checked out, without having to look at any paperwork, after I express my heartfelt gratitude, he said Be safe Mrs. Kim, and I hope come back and see us whenever you are in town!! You may ask whatâs so special about that, well he didnât say my last name, this Angel who I just met not even 24 hours earlier, knew me by my First name!! I was like OMG, he made me feel like family and not just a guest at a hotel. Give this Angel a raise! And thank you again Red Roof and Mr Atul for treating my girls and I...
