I'm changing my review to 3 stars because the customer service does seem to have improved. Still not near the great quality what it was when I started going here, but definitely better than it has been for quite a while and I appreciate the improvement.
One-star review from around June 2017: Great food, horrible customer service at the South Logan location. After 20 plus years of loving your food and breads, I have had it with the attitude of the employees at the South Logan location for the last several years. It doesn't matter what time of day, what time of year, what I'm ordering, or how happy I try to be, the employees are always grumpy and act as if it is my privilege to be a customer. After repeated visits with the same attitude, including one time with an owner present and that person showing the same attitude, I am so disappointed. I have worked in food service, and customer service in general, and I realize the pressure and how customers can be. However, that is no excuse to treat your customers so badly and act annoyed that people are there gasp ordering food! I have brought several people with me for the first time, raving about how great it is, and all have commented how rude the workers were and that they aren't sure they'll be back even though the food was good. Either they need more training or hire different people. Either way, until this changes, I will not be returning to the South...
Read moreThe food was great but my experience with the workers was less than pleasant. Two of the female staff were extremely snobby to me and a male co-worker who I assumed to be new since he kept asking frequent questions. These female workers would not help the new male worker and would scoff and roll their eyes at him anytime he asked something involving how to do his job. Then I made a sandwich order and I waited patiently for 10 minutes after everyone infront of me got their orders. One of the female workers came up to me and asked very rudely "Do you need something?" I told her I made an order and I was waiting for it. She then rolled her eyes at me as she walked over to THE GARBAGE and pulled out MY order. She had thrown my order away! She made my sandwich but the whole time she did she took her own sweet time and acted as if it was a huge burden to make a sandwich I paid for when it was her job. I was NOT impressed with the service from these two girls and if I saw them working next time I went in I would immediately leave. This happened around 4pm on September 28th 2016. We ordered 4 sandwich combos (two cold and two hot) at 7:45, and waited over 20 minutes until our food was ready. Keep in mind we were the only customers in the restaurant. Four employees were there, but only two took turns making our food. My husband regularly gets a hot sandwich and says it does take a little longer to make, but this is a record wait time. The worst part, however, was being subjected to the loud, offensive music during our long wait. The only word I could recognize in one of the songs was one of the most vile curse words I know. I was thankful my children weren't with us to listen to the word repeated over and over. We have frequented this location of Grist Mill for many years.
