Riverwoods Conference Center — Attraction in Logan

This place has some great rooms and a beautiful courtyard, which is why we booked. Unfortunately, we don't recommend this place for any large or important events like weddings. The wedding package is bare minimum and expensive for what they offer. You'll end up spending a lot of money on top of the package for it to look decent. The catering is required through them and while they have great food, we were disappointed with the service. We were changed event coordinators four times, one of which we found out the week of our wedding. A lot of notes and details were lost along the way and it was very stressful for us. We were told multiple times that we would not have to clean up all of our stuff the night of the wedding. We were very upset to discover that all of our flowers and desserts were thrown in the trash as soon as we left the venue. The courtyard was very dark during the night and no one was available to fix the lights. They weren't checked before the event. The A.C in our room did not work when we were setting up the day before, it was 80 degrees while setting up even though they said they had it on. It took a long time to get a response from our event coordinator about our concerns after the event. Finally, the response we received showed the Center had no intent to mend things with us. The Center is also very hard to contact, even during open hours, we have difficulty getting someone on the phone. I have been planning my wedding at the Riverwoods I am impressed with the staff and all they have to offer! I have been working with Mary. She is so fun and helpful. She goes out of her way to answer your questions and make you have peace of mind that all will be wonderful for your big day! I also have been impressed with Kirsten that handles the hotel side. I needed to book rooms for guest coming out of town. She went above and beyond to give me what I needed. My fiancé and I went for a tasting for our family luncheon and reception. The food was awesome I am excited for my guest to be served on my wedding! Beautiful building for a wedding and can accommodate large groups. I highly recommend Riverwoods! I am on here a month later to update my review after our wedding day. The luncheon for 135 people was wonderful food chef did a awesome job and service was great! Ceremony was set up on patio beautifully and the reception was so nice. The refreshments were delicious and everyone was pleased. Mary was exceptional through the entire process. We seen signs of rain and she quickly calmed me down with a back up plan. The pastry chef made our wedding cake ,cupcakes and special pastries to look beautiful and taste delicious. I am the owner of a professional DJ business, and have done a LOT of events at the Riverwoods, ranging from wedding receptions, to corporate parties, quinceaneras, etc. The staff here has always been great to work with, and they are always organized. In my experience, they take really good care of their clients. I've probably done something like 50 events at the Riverwoods over the years, and I've never seen them miss a step. The food? That's one of my favorite things, it's always fantastic. That might sound overly positive, but seriously, put it to the test. The catering for Riverwoods is done by Elements, and their Chef is a perfectionist. If you want to know what the catering is like, go to Elements. They are also great at getting dinner served efficiently. That's important for my job as well, because if dinner takes 3 hours, your guests are going to be gone before the dance... that doesn't happen here, It doesn't feel rushed, yet it happens quickly, and comfortably even for large groups, and your guests stay. They have different sizes of event rooms, and some are expandable. If you go investigate, make sure you look at the outdoor patio area! It's perfect for pictures!
