Read moreI went in for lunch on a weekday and was surprised to see it moderately busy, but not so much that I had to wait for a table. My group was quickly seated by a friendly server who explained the food options: full meat selection + salad bar ($19.99 at lunch or $27.99 at dinner) or just the salad bar ($12.99, I think). He also answered any questions we had about the drinks.
I've been to quite a few of these Brazilian steakhouses (including many in Brazil), so I know what to expect. The salad bar here is pretty basic, offering a couple choices for greens as well as a few dressings, a bunch of toppings, and some cut fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe, and maybe another thing or two). As part of this section, there's also the traditional rice and beans, some stroganoff, pão de queso (cheese bread) balls, and cinnamon bananas. The cheese bread is usually a favorite of mine, but it wasn't one of the better ones I've eaten, though was still fairly good.
The main thing I came here for was the meat, and oh boy, they really delivered. The constant rotation provided a large selection of delicious meats, well cooked and hot. The tri tip was my favorite, practically melting in my mouth, with the bacon-wrapped-chicken and teriyaki beek rounding out my top three. Perhaps it was because of where I was sitting, but by the time the pineapple got to me each time the best part, the caramelized exterior, had already been served. Oh well, minor complaint.
During the time of feasting, our "waiter" (since the food is served by many waiters, I'm referring to the one who took our drink orders) stopped by multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our food. I felt very well looked after.
Speaking of drinks, they have a great selection of delicious juices and limeades that are reasonably priced.
By the end, I was totally stuffed and happy with my meal. I'd rank this spot as one of the better Rodizio grills (Brazilian BBQs) I've visited. A solid 4.5/5 stars for me. I think they just need to revisit the cheese bread, but it's good enough that it wouldn't stop me from going there again next time...
Read moreThe food was good for a Brazilian place but not exceptional. The workers were kind (like Carlos and Douglas and the other Douglas) but I double and triple checked before I went there to see what the price would be for lunch and I even triple checked the day and time i would be there and I was told around $21 but when I went to check out even though we started lunch around 2:00 p.m. and we're there for a little while, by the time I checked out it was $30 and on top of that they charge you for using your credit card a 3% fee which is crazy because of how expensive the place is for the atmosphere. The bathrooms are dirty and have cuss words above the toilet and the atmosphere feels very unprofessional. Our bill came out to $150 and I wish I had just gone to Tucanos instead for the business meeting I hosted today. I called the restaurant tonight to give them an opportunity to make it right before writing this review but they hung up on me several times on purpose which blew my mind because I was being very kind to them and as an entrepreneur myself I thought it was fair just to try to be kind first since that's what I would want my customers to do for me. I don't think I got literally more than 5 to 10 words in first before they hung up on me. The person who answered the phone didn't seem to care about being there or about making things good with customers. It's probably just a job for him. I was very calm and cooperative and kind the first few times .Finally when they answered on the third or fourth time and didn't hang up on me, I let them know that I gave them a chance, but now I'm writing this review. For a person who loves Brazilian food, I don't plan on going back. What a...
