I was extremely disappointed in my entire stay. In July 2021 my stay had been ok, besides the fact no one had cleaned my room the whole two weeks I stayed there and never emptied my garbage. I had to empty my own garbage and bring it down to the lobby after all of my trashcans were overflowing. But at least breakfast had always been great. I was so stressed recently, I just decided to stay in the same place to avoid having to do something new. I regret this so much. When we arrived our room was dirty, and I had to ask to have it cleaned. We left for two hours, and when we returned, it looked like only a couple of the obvious hairs in the shower had been picked up. ( there was a ton more in the tracks of the toilet area door, and the shower tub bottom was disgustingly dirty - grey and black. Not to mention all the hair in the bed. The next morning, the oatmeal was not cooked at all, the waffle mix was thick and wouldn’t cook, and besides egg and a bagel, there was only cereal and very hard oranges. I had spent all the extra money to help my husband have a good vacation while I worked. I wish I had stayed in Preston. It would have saved so much money, a huge commute, and tons of stress. At least this stay they did empty my garbage once. The Comfort Inn now has my vote of confidence after talking to all the locals. Back to the huge issue. When I booked on the Bonvoy app, It asked what nights I would be staying. I selected 12/12, 12/13, 12/14, 12/15, 12/16, and 12/17. Come the last exhausting day of work - Friday, 12/17. My lunch break starts, and I get an email asking for me to review and thank you for checking out. Since I still expected to be staying there that night, I called the front desk over 28 times, Over 35 minutes of me trying to reach the Marriott has passed and I am beyond stressed. After 10 more calls to the desk I finally get through. I try to be as polite as possible while explaining the situation. I am told if I say I want to stay the night of Friday that means I am checking out by noon on Friday. I ask them if they have any other room available, and they say no but I can stay at the Sister Marriott next-door. I ask what rates are and if they have any available rooms, and they say they have no idea, I had to find out myself. I had to drive 11 hours in snow that night. I won’t be back. Ever. The one bright spot my entire stay was the gentleman who worked the breakfast area alone (NOT the morning when everything was...
Read moreMy stay was great, and the amenities were nice, however, there were too many technical errors for my liking. When I originally made reservations to book my room, I found that it was booked under someone else’s account (credit card, phone number, email, etc.). I am not sure how this happened since I called in to make the reservation. When I called back to get this information updated, the representative told me that it was updated, but I later found out that it was not- this was frustrating.
When it was time to check out, the representative at the front sent me a receipt, however, it was a blank receipt with zero charges, expenses, etc. I was expecting to see an itemized receipt (FOLIO) for expense reporting purposes. When I called the front desk, the same representative who assisted me before, answered and I explained what the issue was. She could not comprehend and was unable to provide assistance- this was also frustrating. I eventually received an email from Management asking me about my stay and I mentioned my problem to him... he was able to assist right away. I was very appreciative of his timeliness (I believe his name was Brady). The service that he provided and the time in which he accomplished it, made up for all previous errors.
To end things off, I went to my online account, only to find that SpringHill charged me twice for my room. I am not sure how or why this happened, but this definitely drew the last straw for me. This was my first time experiencing SpringHill or any Marriott for that matter, and it saddens me to say that my first impression of this chain was not a good one. I do not feel inclined to stay at another Marriott in the future, however, if I find myself staying at a SpringHill/Marriott in the future, I pray that my overall experience is better than what I received this past week.
Technical issues aside, the establishment was nice and strategically located in the heart of downtown Logan. It’s just unfortunate that the technical issues had to overshadow what could have been a glowing review. I’m sure this was just a one off incident, but it sucks that it...
Read moreWorst stay I have had at a Marriott! I am responding to a lousy experience that I endured at the Springhill in Logan, Utah. I have stayed at this facility in the past and it was 5 star, really nice, clean, and exceptional staff. In this instance, I am only giving 2 stars because the room was a total disaster when I got there. I had to wipe everything down myself, clean up dirty used Kleenex and the coffee area had used tea bags and other debris left from the prior guest. I was really unimpressed. I let the front desk night clerk know the issue who said she was sorry which I appreciate. I thought it was just some overlooked tasks, but to my alarm my friend who also was staying in the hotel had a worse experience which included blood in his bed. When he told me of his issue, demanded he let the front desk also know, which again she was very kind and apologetic. As we were speaking to each other about our issues, one of our other co-workers indicated that the room had was also a disaster it had; unemptied garbage, and debris on sheets made which only reinforced my original though that this was not just an isolated instance (a one off) but a serious cleaning issue. My co-worker asked to have someone come and clean his room the next day as now you have to request this service if you want to have new towels or even resupply of coffee in your room. Although the request was made no cleaning was completed. I now am wondering if I just slept in dirty sheets this week in my stay at this location. I will avoid staying at this hotel again. Too bad because it was a nice place, and I would have given it another chance if they would have followed through with the clean after they were informed of the issues. I think the blood on the sheets was the kicker for me, unacceptable in all forms. Too bad it is hard to get good help I totally understand. I just think this is beyond what...
