Blaze Pizza — Restaurant in Lompoc

The 'Subway of Pizza' has arrived in Lompoc! With a warm toned ambiance with imagery of La Purisima Mission and a gorgeous fire for the pizzas, Blaze offers quick, filling pizzas that you can easily customize with the ingredients right in front of you, you can even get it with a cold beer. They offer some fabulous looking small desserts and if you're feeling not very hungry, the Dough Knots are a great way for a quick small bite to eat. The staff is extremely helpful, Ruby made my first Blaze experience enjoyable without knowing I was a Google Local Guide. They genuinely have great service. But, as we all know, no place is perfect. We did struggle to hear our name being called over the loud music. The quality of the food is on par with what you'd expect from something like a Subway. It's great for a quick bite/lunch, but hardly my first choice for going out to dinner when I have more free time. Overall I think Blaze has potential as a place for quick pizza/beer and possibly hanging out at with friends. Though it's isolated parking and getting in/out of the shopping center might prove to be a drawback during meal rush hours for most people. Definitely check out Blaze in Lompoc though, the service is outstanding and the food is not half bad...

This place is pretty unique. You walk in and create a personal size pizza for yourself and that's it! 1 topping is about $7, 2 toppings is $8, and more than 2 toppings is $9. The crust is thinner than pan. Similar to hand tossed and all the ingredients are fresh. If you aren't sure what you want, they do have signature pizza combinations to choose from. They also have a great variety of sauces like traditional red, pesto, creamy white, and a couple others. The sizes are all personal size. It's a perfect meal size for me and I'm not exactly a small person. If you like dessert, they have a few to choose from as well. The atmosphere in the dining area is calm and relaxed with good lighting to create a soothing ambiance. The one thing that really stuck out to me is the encouragement of being clean in the dining area. There are napkin kiosks everywhere which is great if you have kids. I highly recommend this joint for a wonderful family night out or with your friends. I'd say it's even great if you are alone and just want a quick bite. Pizza is ok but it is way overpriced for extremely thin dough and a few toppings. Was going here because it's walking distance to get a quick pizza after work, but we aren't full after eating a pizza here and salads are very basic and super pricey. I feel like I have to argue with the staff as they are making our pizza, especially the young girl that works in the evenings and is kind of rude... Even though I am charged for xtra toppings every time I have come here and remind them. The staff making the pizzas are really stingy, probably because they are told to be by corporate. The older gentleman with an accent gives great customer service, but still, it's Frustrating to pay $18.00 plus tax for a personal size pizza that has gluten free super thin crust, light red sauce, 8 pieces of pepperoni (10 on a good day) sparse olives, sparse Mozarella cheese and some sea salt. Also the app never lets me use my rewards. I could head on over to Mi Amore's or another pizza place and for that same amount of money and get a whole large pizza to share that is handmade, thick, and plenty of toppings.
