I have been coming to Eddie's for years. Loved their burgers and salads. Tonight I ordered a well done Western Burger and fries. I ate a few fries on the way home and they were different than they have been. Not really very good. I took a bite of my burger and it was pink near the edges and raw in the middle. Not one to waste food...I deconstructed it and microwaved the patty for a minute. Had to add some ketchup because half the bun didn't have BBQ sauce and tried a few more bites. It was really bad and didn't taste good. Called up the manager and she insisted I bring it back and they would make me another or give me a gift card. It's cold and windy out and I wasn't about to go back out tonight so she told me to take a picture if it so they could see if it was raw since "I already ate half of it". I explained that I had microwaved it and it didn't taste good and she again said well you ate half if it and we can't help it if you don't like the way it tastes. I have rarely been treated them away by a manager and told her I didn't appreciate her accusing me of lying. She kept repeating that she wasn't but kept insisting I take a picture. Well here's the picture if the horrible burger I had to cook again and add ketchup to since you were so stingy with the BBQ sauce. I guess my two dogs are getting a treat tonight cause I'm not eating my $ 21+ burger and fries. I've been a loyal customer since you've opened but after the way I was talked to and treated by Lili and the substandard food experience...I won't be back. I will share this with my...
Read moreI've been to the Eddie's in San Luis Obispo a few times and have always enjoyed it, so I decided to meet up with a friend at the original. I'm glad I did, the location in a strip mall is similar to the SLO location so it feel right. The cool cars on the walls is nice, the tall ceiling and overall vibe of the place is great. The staff immediately greeted me, I told them I wanted to order a beer but was waiting for a friend, they told me to grab it and pay later. So, that was very welcoming. Little did they know the friend I was waiting for was the owner of one of the cars on their walls.
When we ordered, the staff was still super friendly, and unfortunately the name escapes me at the moment, but he knew my friend fairly well. I ordered their new pickle fries and the TOBE burrito with extra chicken and a side of their habanero sauce. By the way, the TOBE burrito is a hidden menu item coined by my friend who frequents the place... but check it out. Grillled chicken, cheese, cabbage, lettuce and their chipotle aoili, I am probably forgetting something, but it is damn good. I usually get their chipotle chicken wrap, santa barbara burger, or the spicy kick burger. In terms of how friendly, fast and good the food is, this is a great lunch spot. I was excited to discover them in SLO and it is great to see both locations are consistent with each other. Great place to stop, hang out, and grab a quality burger, sandwich or wrap...
Read moreHoping this gets to the owner and actually a change will come. I genuinely have loved this location for many years but sadly things have changed. As a server who takes pride in my customer service I can only say one girl is amazing and always very helpful the other staff I have came up to or called to have been rude and impatient. Noone should feel uncomfortable asking questions when they want to try something new or ask for a substitution. The food can be amazing but the last several visits my chilli for my fries has been burnt, burgers have tasted bland, wraps has no sauce or little portion of meat veggies and just all spring mix , and it just an overall waste of money. I didn't want to leave this review but feel like if I relay this to someone inside the store they will take it as a joke and not understand that my critique is because I want to keep coming down to my favorite place and eat all the food I know I enjoyed 6 months ago. I want to spend my money on this place and willing to change my review once a change is made. Bring better customer service, help the chefs remember that they are bomb at what they do, maybe help everyone fall in love with eddies again they way it always...
