Granny's Donuts Inc — Restaurant in Long Beach

I was excited to try this place. I've driven by it several times. It's not easy to get to with traffic and lack of parking so it was a stretch to get there.

The donuts didn't look particularly different than anything you can get at a grocery store, nothing fancy, but I like grocery store donuts so that's okay.

But it turns out they're cash only. Of course they tell me there's an ATM nearby. Okay so now the price of your donuts just went up with the price of an ATM fee? I don't carry cash. I'm not interested in carrying cash. I haven't had to pay cash for anything in years.. I'm not interested in paying an ATM fee to get your donuts when there's a thousand stores nearby, Long Beach is known for its donuts, that take other means of pay.

Not to mention we all know the reason you take cash only is to avoid taxes. Taxes that I don't get to avoid. That I have to pay for you to live in this city in this state. But you think you don't have to pay them? I don't think so. You want to run a cash-only business, you shouldn't benefit from the taxes the rest of us are paying. You benefit greatly from the taxes the people buying your donuts pay. You should be...

I got home after picking up my donuts and coffee and my donuts were fresh, crispy and delicious. I only had $10 and I was 75 cents off so the man told me I can owe him 75 cents next time, he was very nice and helpful, great customer service. The baker was coming up to put donuts in the display case and said hello as well. I live around the corner and have been wanting to check this place out because randomly will crave a donut.

I've been coming here for years, but the last time I went she gave me the wrong donut order. When I went back and told the order all she said was sorry and what would I like today.
